When you clean the kitchen counter

With surface sprs, do you use a damp cloth/paper towel? Or dry?

My dh uses a dry cloth and it makes me want to heave. How can you wipe a dirty surface clean with a dry cloth and bit of spray?

And yet it doesn't say anything about water on the container. AIBU?

Wet cloth and spray. Dry cloth doesn’t work at all, just leaves streaks everywhere.

Wet cloth, then dry with a dry one.
Wouldn't a dry cloth just smear the counters?

I wash down with soapy water and a j cloth then use an antibacterial spray and paper towel.

That's what I thought! But there is nothing on the spray that mentions the cloth needs to be damp. Made me think I was imagining it.

A dry cloth actually but I liberally spray so the surface isn't dry anyway.
I wouldn't want to soak the surface tbh, paranoid about the oak.
Couldn't be bothered with cleaning them, then drying them afterwards.

a proper clean a cloth with washing up liquid and zoflora and then dry it with another cloth.

If you spray, why do you need a wet cloth?

It just dilutes the disinfectant and makes it pointless.
Either use disinfectant and a dry cloth or just soap and a wet cloth

Spray with antibacterial, leave 2 minutes then remove antibacterial cleaner and broken down germs with dry cloth.

Damp, I'm guessing that's what my parents do too as I've obviously learned to do it that way from somewhere.

My Dettol spray instructions say clean wipe over with a clean damp cloth & allow to dry. I always wipe with a different soapy cloth first (I seem to make a lot of mess when cooking), then let that dry, then use the Dettol.

Spray with homemade vinegar solution and wipe with dry cloth.

Maybe they don’t tell you to use a damp cloth because they want you to use more spray?

Mainly just use dish wash sponge with washing up liquid on it. Occasionally if I've been cutting chicken, I might use spray, but again with a damp dish wash sponge.

Soapy microfibre cloth that is laundered daily. I use boards for food preparation, so it’s only to get rid of splashes or crumbs.

Well rung out soapy cloth.

Dry cloth

Wipe off crumbs with a dry cloth, attack sticky bits with a knife or damp cloth.

Spray, leave two minutes, wipe off spray with a second dry cloth. Takes a couple of minutes for the disinfectant to do its job so spraying it down and wiping it off straight away doesn’t leave it clean clean.

Spray and then use a bit of dry kitchen roll. Works fine

Heavily spray the counter, dry micro fibre cloth. It would just be war otherwise? I get pissed off because my other half uses a wet cloth 🤣

Wet. Not war. Wars in my house happen but not over cloths or kitchen counters!
