How many tabs open on your phone?

I am wondering whether I might be some kind of digital hoarder.

Just looked and I have 156 tabs open on my phone - everything from toddler play ideas to interrupted podcasts to lengthy opinion pieces. Do most people have this? And do you ever actually go back and do it?

YABU - just clear the whole lot out, it’s digital junk.

YANBU - yes to multiple tabs, it is the modern way to dip in and out (until you change phones!).

To those who are spending time closing down the tabs... Can you not just press close all???

I only have one, maybe a couple more when I've forgotten to close some down. I have a well organised bookmark list though

I don't use my phone like that.
Very occasionally I might use it to check e-mails or make it a hotspot for my iPad if I am out and about, but otherwise its main use is as a telephone.

Three. And one was the calculator I was using when I decided to take a break from the figures (to mumsnet). The others were my email and a search page.

I have 3. If I get to about 12 I have to close them and only leave the important ones open or for some strange reason, I feel a bit stressed.

To those who are spending time closing down the tabs... Can you not just press close all???

Nooooo! The very thought of doing this makes me twitch. What if there’s something really useful in these! I guess that’s how I got into this mess in this first place...

I see the voting button balance has finally tipped in favour of the tidy tab crew. That’s got to be a better way.

I’ve got rid of 16 tabs since staring this thread.

Most of those are mn property porn or window shopping rabbit holes or random Google's

Haha - 497, and I got an automated message on my phone saying: ‘would you like to close some tabs?’ NO! They’re my digital memory archive.

Oh wow, I thought I often had a lot with 20! I closed a few earlier so only on 9 now. There's always mumnet threads, Amazon, Ebay and sky news! But tbh I hate it because its untidy!

My phone was kept crashing so, in case it was causing it, I closed all my tabs - 671!

Oh, and since deleting the 671 less than two days ago I'm now on tab number 28

I usually have 20-30. Before I realised they stayed open and how to close them (how to even find them) someone at work had to do some tech on my phone and they all popped up - sad indictment of my usage - rightmove recipes random wiki pages etc. One massive swastika cos I was looking up the history of the symbol and usage worldwide over last millennia !

I havent got a clue. How are you counting them?

I've got five open, but it quite happily close three of them. In fact, I'll do that right now 😉
