How many tabs open on your phone?

I am wondering whether I might be some kind of digital hoarder.

Just looked and I have 156 tabs open on my phone - everything from toddler play ideas to interrupted podcasts to lengthy opinion pieces. Do most people have this? And do you ever actually go back and do it?

YABU - just clear the whole lot out, it’s digital junk.

YANBU - yes to multiple tabs, it is the modern way to dip in and out (until you change phones!).

I have about 10. Most things I'm actively looking at. A couple articles that I swear one day I will finish reading, but I haven't in the past month, so really I probably won't. Then two are house listings for the house we had our offer accepted on pre-lockdown. We are waiting to be able to proceed with the purchase (held up because the lender couldn't do the valuation in lockdown). I refuse to close those tabs because it feels like a jinx! I think once we exchange I'll finally feel comfortable enough to close them.

72, I need them all. I’m always doing it on the laptop and my husband closes them all and saves them to a bookmarks folder, drives me mad.

@Timekeeper1 my phone is just as fast as my laptop, faster actually. I find the apps condensed and easier to use. There are no pop ups on my phone. I can message my friends, buy things, look things up and go on mums net all at once, on my sofa, barely moving my thumbs

I have three tabs open in my browser. I get antsy at over 5, and dont think I've ever had more than 10 open.

Ive got 30 open, I thought that was bad. My husband only has 5!

I have 85... lots of recipes I can’t be bothered to “re-google”, various homeware things I like but can’t afford... that’s about it tbh. Mostly those two things!

I have 3-4 that I keep open all the time - sites I read on a daily basis. Everything else gets closed as soon as I've finished what I'm doing. If it needs saving for later then I bookmark it.

Oh blimey, I never knew people did this. It makes me twitchy just reading about it!

I may have 2-3 when I'm reading stuff on my phone, but I always close them all! So whenever I go into chrome, I have one, shiny new tab waiting for me.

Start pinning that shit and get those tabs closed. Then come back and let me know you're done so I can sleep better tonight!

No tabs on my phone, no internet, it makes and receives calls/texts - that's it. Last used it to text my cleaner a month ago.

I get twitchy once it reaches double figures.

I have 86 open atm. I only start to get twitchy and close some when the little square with the number in stops counting (not sure at what point!) and displays a sideways smiley face (the old school colon+closing bracket, which you can't do on here without it turning into an MN smiley, I've just discovered )

32, but I've not long had a new phone so I've not had time to build them up yet. I think on the old one it was normal to have at least twice that. My laptop probably has around 20 in each browser window so maybe about 60. All different to my phone.

I open stuff so I don't forget I want to look at it and then often forget or it leads me onto other interesting things which leads to more tabs of things I want to look at...

I've got 96, but I culled a lot yesterday. Phone loses count when I go past 99.

I feel somewhat inspired to see if I can find my phone's limit...

The thing is, I've tried bookmarking before but can never find anything again.

It's like the Pile of Paperwork of Doom. To others it looks awful, but in under 10 seconds I can find my 2017/18 council tax bill, my driver's licence counterpart and anything else I'm looking for.

It took me ages to realise that I had 'tabs' ( a few years ago now - possibly when I first got an iPhone?) I thought that when you clicked the home button (or swipe up as it is now) it was fully closed

It took me an absolute age to clear them all when I realised!!
