BFD is 2 May - yay or nay?

It's a no from me and I'm usually in the risk it camp. I'd go 3 days over max with sausages.

RainbowDash101 · 11/05/2020 18:53

2nd May?! Nope!

Undies1990 · 11/05/2020 18:53

Nope. Too long ago!

user127819 · 11/05/2020 18:53

I wouldn't eat them. Not after 9 days.

Fcukthisshit · 11/05/2020 18:53

No way

SerenDippitty · 11/05/2020 18:54

No. If it was one or two days and they smelt OK I’d say yes as long as you cooked them really really well, but not nine days.

Sparklesocks · 11/05/2020 18:55

I’m pretty lax with expiry dates but that’s too long ago even for me, and pork can be a bit dodgy. Sorry OP!

TheRoyallingStones · 11/05/2020 18:55

No way

pilates · 11/05/2020 18:56

No

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 11/05/2020 18:57

What's the use by date? Best before dates are NOT use by dates.

Sparklfairy · 11/05/2020 18:58

Absolutely not and I'm really lax with BBD

TimeWastingButFun · 11/05/2020 18:58

I would go over a couple of days with beef but def not pork products.

Sparklfairy · 11/05/2020 18:58

Or use by dates!

worriedandannoyed · 11/05/2020 18:58

Sausages tend to smell pretty bad as soon as they go out of date so it's a no from me

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 11/05/2020 18:59

Are these frozen? I don't think fresh sausages have usually best before date?

AliciaWhiskers · 11/05/2020 18:59

Absolutely not

Nanalisa60 · 11/05/2020 19:01

NO NO NO NO NO

Ikeasucks · 11/05/2020 19:01

😢

Murphs1 · 11/05/2020 19:02

It’s a no from me, a couple of days maybe even 3 for meat no more.

DartmoorChef · 11/05/2020 19:18

Definitely not

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 11/05/2020 19:22

No way. And surely it’s a use by, not a best before?

isadoradancing123 · 11/05/2020 19:23

No

TerrorWig · 11/05/2020 19:26

I’d probably smell them, if they smell alright then cook them, if they still smell ok then I’d eat them. I might not let the kids though.

KittenVsBox · 11/05/2020 19:26

Best before? Yes, with care. They presumably are frozen or tinned.
Use by? Not with sausages.

smokescreen · 11/05/2020 19:26

Did you freeze them? If yes then fine. If no, then toss
