I know I’m not bu reallyGrin I’ve always been a baker but there’s been so many things I’ve never got round to making. Lockdown seemed the perfect time to start experimenting!

Would love to see anything you guys have made too!

ParkheadParadise · 10/05/2020 16:53

That's looks lovely @Avelosa

Any cakes in my house are shop bought. I wouldn't even attempt a cupcake🤣🤣

Sparklesocks · 10/05/2020 16:54

Looks gorgeous!

PineappleDanish · 10/05/2020 16:57

Amazing! I'm assuming that's a chilled set one rather than baked? I like both to be honest...

Care to share the recipe?

SummerHouse · 10/05/2020 17:00

More deets needed. Is it baked? I prefer set but hell, I'll have a slice whatever. Or should that be hunk? He's a hefty one alright. Drool.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 10/05/2020 17:01

Yum. What’s the flavour?

Avelosa · 10/05/2020 17:01

@pineappledanish yes it’s just a chilled one, always wanted to try a baked one but they seem so faffy and take too long before you can eat themGrin

I make all my own recipes but this is the closest one - www.sweetestmenu.com/biscoff-cheesecake/

Lotus biscoff cheesecake is one of my favourite deserts OP! My friend made me one before lockdown. So jealous! YUM, enjoy Grin

Avelosa · 10/05/2020 17:02

@SummerHouse nope this one is just chilled in the fridge! Means you can eat it sooner after making itWink

Love a good cheesecake! Is the filling lotus flavoured?

Avelosa · 10/05/2020 17:04

@orangelucozade I think cheesecake is my all time favourite dessert no matter what the flavour. There’s a pub near me that does apple crumble cheesecake and it’s possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten!

OP posts:
Avelosa · 10/05/2020 17:05

@Beagled it is! It’s the biscoff spread whipped into the filling

Here is my Raspberry cheesecake I made yesterday. Not much left today

Victoria Sponge.

This was a while ago.
Today it's (much less photogenic) bread and butter pudding to use up a loaf of bread that hasn't been eaten and will go off otherwise.

Looks fabulous 👏

StoorieHoose · 10/05/2020 17:07

Yours looks ace OP

Iooselipssinkships · 10/05/2020 17:07

I once bought a tub of Lotus Biscoff spread and ate it with a spoon. No regrets.

I would eat all of your cake OP. All. Of. It. Looks amazing. If I send you my address shall we sort out some sort of courier? Preferably a same day within the hour type.

Futureplanning · 10/05/2020 17:08

That looks amazing, I attempted my first cheesecake last week, it was a bit of a fail. Tasted amazing but didn't set properly, even after 36 hours!

Avelosa · 10/05/2020 17:08

@stooriehoose looks delicious! Has it got whole raspberries in it?

@DrMadelineMaxwell I LOVE a Victoria sandwich! What flavour jam did you use?

PoppyFleur · 10/05/2020 17:08

Oh my goodness all these desserts are making me drool! They look yummy.

Sexnotgender · 10/05/2020 17:09

YABVUAngry now I want cheesecake.

Avelosa · 10/05/2020 17:09

@futureplanning I gave up on cheesecakes for ages cus I couldn’t ever get them to set properly no matter how long I left them for. Not sure why but the filling just seems so temperamental
