Is there anything that can't be used to defeat a vampire?

Sunlight, garlic, crosses, holy water, stakes, fire, cutting off their heads (also works on those living statue people), and blessed bullets.

And they only enter houses after being invited in, don't have reflections, and if you're being chased you can drop some salt and they have to stop and count the grains.

Surely the most rubbish of all the monsters.

I know not of this "Twilight". Every cartoon, book, and cartoon I've seen featuring a vampire: Easily beaten.

One of my favourite X Files is the one where Mulder escapes a vampire pizza delivery boy by throwing sunflower seeds that he has to stop and pick up due to his OCD. So for comedy, they’re perfect.

Hmm, you make good points OP. Vampires have been around for a long time, so they must have some success. I suppose it helps that if people don’t ward them off, they can make their victims into vampires thus increasing their numbers (to make up for the ones that are staked rather than just warded off). They usually seem quite intelligent, especially compared to zombies, and are less erratic than werewolves. They can actually kill people, unlike nearly all ghosts. So overall I think YABU.

Oh you need to watch true blood. Vampires are HOT. With a capital H. And werewolves even hotter. Obviously all a pile of bollocks but the actors in that program are worth every second. Vampires for grown ups.

Lady vampires are all pretty sexy. Morticia Adams, Vampira, all women's fancy dress costumes etc. I could still kill them all.

I read a wonderful sci-fi story years ago which explained that vampires weren't afraid of crosses, they just couldn't tolerate right angles.

Watch The Originals for some pretty bad ass vampires. The levels of hotness don't hurt either.

I don't really like giant spiders as monsters, they are pretty creepy.

Another one to add to your list @mysterian on True Blood the vampires could be injured by silver, and I think killed by a silver bullet odd really as that's usually a werewolf trope.

What about Blade. Some bad ones in there also Interview with a Vampire. Both Cruise and Banderas are good. You have to be quick with the killing. Dracula was tough in the Stoker book
