Ok 3 weeks ago my 1 cat had kittens and has been in alllllllll the time, last tuesday or so my other cat had kittens, we found them stone cold and barely alive, the other cat took on the kittens and fostered them. Yesterday morning i remember seeing her feeding all of the kittens and then she was gone......

We hadnt seen cat1 shall we say, since tuesday and basically presumed the worst had happened

Anyway a woman came knocking on the door today and said have you got 2 silver tabby cats, i said yes were they wearing collars? she said yes i said well they are mine!!!

She said well im quite happy to take them and the kittens off you as you seem like you have alot going on!

I said no i want my cats back as the kittens havent been fed! I explained that cat2 was only in yesterday and the conversation went something like this....

Me: did you lock the cats in?
Her Dp: well obviously
Me:well if you hadnt they would have come back
Her DP: oh.....

Now i MAY be being unreasonable but im pretty sure you dont lock a cat in and claim it as its run into your house? They both had collars on so obviously they belonged to someone!!!

Im so angry !!!!

Please say IANBU???

Once again Kerrymum, if you feel the need to put in your tuppence worth, please do, as iliketosleep, and I, suggest, read the conversation through.
iliketosleep had mention her mc earlier, had you read through the treads you would have realised the situation and would not now feel that you were being beat by the fact.

Please, for everyones sake, stop trying to stand on the moral high ground when you are simply not in command of the facts.
It's just not clever!! or nice for the OP, who has gone throug enough without being lectured by a misinformed person.

You point is a good one but simply not relevant here.

Not surprised you head hurts ILTS, are they a special breed of cats that they are so popular with would be cat owners?

Hope you sleep well.

Can I just say, my cat isn't spayed, and I would prefer her to have one litter (which I know I can get rid of) before I get her done. When I was a child my mum always let our cats have one litter first, the two cats she didn't both went a bit weird after being done, may just be coincidence, but it is my choice.
Oh and my cat is one I 'rescued' btw, my friend had it and is the kind of person that gets easily bored of pets so I took her off her hands and my DP's mum had our other one.

Gosh what DID this disintegrate into last night .....whew glad i went to bed early !

I loved the fact that i knew my cats mum was having them, we were kept informed of her pregnancy, the day I got a text to say my kittens had been born, I felt very proud.

We then kept in touch over email, and were sent photos of them (they're from Edinburgh and we live in the north west of England)

When they arrived there was tons of excitement waiting for the new additions to our family.

I know my cats birthday which is lovely for my children, we have a party too.

the mums owners knew her kittens were going to a good home, and we keep her up to date with their progress, and send photos too.

I'm glad she wasn't spayed and we had the opportunity to have this experience ............then again I probably am an English eccentric who thinks of my cats as little people

well apart from the boy who thinks he's a dog
