Ok 3 weeks ago my 1 cat had kittens and has been in alllllllll the time, last tuesday or so my other cat had kittens, we found them stone cold and barely alive, the other cat took on the kittens and fostered them. Yesterday morning i remember seeing her feeding all of the kittens and then she was gone......

We hadnt seen cat1 shall we say, since tuesday and basically presumed the worst had happened

Anyway a woman came knocking on the door today and said have you got 2 silver tabby cats, i said yes were they wearing collars? she said yes i said well they are mine!!!

She said well im quite happy to take them and the kittens off you as you seem like you have alot going on!

I said no i want my cats back as the kittens havent been fed! I explained that cat2 was only in yesterday and the conversation went something like this....

Me: did you lock the cats in?
Her Dp: well obviously
Me:well if you hadnt they would have come back
Her DP: oh.....

Now i MAY be being unreasonable but im pretty sure you dont lock a cat in and claim it as its run into your house? They both had collars on so obviously they belonged to someone!!!

Im so angry !!!!

Please say IANBU???

Kerrymum, if you are going to wade into a conversation, shouting the odds, it woudl be best to have reda it first.
That issue has been discussed and is in hand "FGS"

Sorry, I have just read throug hthe whole thing and was very cross about that post and just had to say so.

iliketosleep, you are so right to be cross with her for trapping you cat and then claiming that she was attempting to do you a favour!!
But I doubt the RSPCA will do much. IME, they do sod all.
I have a neighour, over the back, who keeps cats in a hut at the end of his garden. They stink and pace around all day, yowling.
They also have about 5 dogs who bark rather a lot to. This is greated by the owners swearing at them to shut the F up.
I called the RSPCA, they visited, they left. Nothing was done.
I eventually had to go round and tell them I coudln't use my garden because of the stench.
They hosed it out!!
It still stinks but the weather is rubbish and I can't use my garden anyway.
Really want something done, but the RSPCA seem complacent, what can I do?

hiya, no ive never seen her in mylife! she lives over the back of us which is an entirely different place as the roads are mapped out funny,

Well unfortunatly baby doesnt want to know the kittens but that is quite a good thing as the other one is quite attatched to them and the 3 weeks old kittens areenjoying playfully tapping them on the backside

but my main tihng is they are now HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know all about the cat crisis and am going to have them spayed as soon as they stop nursing

'spayed' means fixed.

Cutting comment in head but will keep it to myself.

Sorry for hyjack iliketosleep.
If you found the OP confusing and therefore don't understand the content of the conversation, why add in you bit Kerrymum?
Bit rude imo

they are not pregnant again, where did you get that idea KM?

kerrymum, what if they had wanted the cats to have kittens?

if all cats were 'fixed' then there would be no kittens.

shes not moaning about the kittens, shes angry because somebody stole her cat!!

i dont get where this 'fixed' thing has come from, if she was saying 'ffs we have too many kittens' i would understand but shes not!

but you're saying all cats?

wa if there arehomes lined up already, or she acctually waned to keep them?

sorry digressing but am that you feel your opinion should matter over wether o not this lady gets her cats spayed when she is clearly lookin after them?

My cats are spayed and neutured but I don't mind people that want one or 2 litters, its people like the person I got Nemo off who has completely overbred her cats, the last litter didn't survive. But if everyone had their cats done before they had a litter, then there would be no cats

i dont say no cats, both mine are, but you still cant say all cats should be fixed

Kerrymum, I know you hate cats, especially unneutured ones, but this wasn't about her unneutured cats, it was about someone stealing her cats

Report
sparklygothkat · 17/09/2007 23:50

errr my 3 cats are all neutured and the girls have never had a litter, my dog is also neutured.

no KM not everyone but ME seeing as mine are done, but if she is being responsible for the kittens and finding/giving them a loving home then there is no problem.

all the kittens have loving homes already

I am not and will not stand to be called an irresponsible cat owner. One of my cats is on her second litter which is how i got my other cat, they are mother and daughter and they are identical. The other 3 were given a beautiful home by my friend and i see them every week!

These 8 are going 2 each to my 2 aunties my nan and my friend who has just moved house. Am i irresponsible?

ok KM ill dumb it down for you a little, my "not fixed" cat had kittens a week ago and someone came along and locked her in their house, resulting in 4 kittens being left outside in the cold with no food and warmth.

Then they took my other cat who also has kittens and locked her up in their house.

then they come to my house and ask me if i want them to take the cats and kittens off my hands as i seem to have my hands full.

I didnt want them to take mycats let alone the kittens too, and incase your wondering why i didnt go looking for my cat a week ago when it went missing was because i was having a miscarriage. Ok sure so maybe i could have just jumped up and said thats over lets find the cat but it kinda takes it out of you!

Is that better?
