To think Ollie Murs is a disgrace based on his TikTok?

I don't generally use TikTok, but this stupid thing has been shared right across my social media.

Basically, he made a video of himself cutting the bottom out of a Pringles can. Then took a video of himself and his girlfriend watching tv, eating Pringles from the can, placed on his crotch--so eventually she reached in to find her hand on his penis, which was poked through the bottom of the can.

So, as a joke, he got her to unexpectedly touch his penis. And made a video of himself doing it. On a platform largely used by young people.

Is it just me, or is getting someone to touch your genitalia without consent actually sexual assault?

She’s completely in on the ‘joke. It’s attention seeking. I bet she doesn’t eat too many pringles.

There’s lots of attention seekers out there, best just not to watch I suppose.

Bakedbrie · 05/05/2020 09:55

Ew! Have the Marketing people at Pringles commented at all? It’s not the most desirable brand association for them.
If the tube somehow became stuck on his member, he’d have to go down A&E to get it yanked off, but clearly size-wise he was well within the risk boundaries.

IhateBoswell · 05/05/2020 09:56

Was it the large tube or the small? 🤔

I can't stand anyone with a rictus grin, Olly Murs especially.

Bakedbrie · 05/05/2020 09:57

...would think the salt & vinegar flavour could be very stingy on genitals.

NerforMuffin · 05/05/2020 09:57

All I noticed is how far down she had to reach. Poor bloke.

quietheart · 05/05/2020 09:58

I've never given him or his music much thought, seems like a well liked bloke though.

However he has recently popped up a lot on my social media and he is a right dick, not sure he is a disgrace, but whether his girlfriend is as daft as him I've just had to stop watching cos he's not funny, interesting or clever, just making a total twat of himself.

bulliedintonamechange · 05/05/2020 09:58

Ha it was an even worse mistake than you all think. Not just missing one letter, I actually meant to write prude so got the whole word wrong! Probably still pissed to be fair, or is it fare, who knows. But either way you know what I meant and you still need to pull yourself together. Golly gosh I hope this one doesn't get removed too. I was much much nicer and didn't even write a word wrong!

Sally872 · 05/05/2020 09:59

Me and dd watch tik tok together and she loves his videos, we have found them funny enough. Was really disappointed with this one. Completely inappropriate. Luckily I could see where it was going and moved on but he surely knows he has a young audience.
Wouldnt have found it funny even if 10 year old wasn't watching. Disrespectful and tasteless.

FabulouslyElegantTits · 05/05/2020 09:59

'Sexual assault' .. really?!?

They do this sort of nonsense all the time, she spat a mouthful of water in his face the other day, I found that worse.

BlueJava · 05/05/2020 09:59

I agree with PP, he's crossed from cheeky chapple to weird. He needs to get off SM for a bit. There are a lot of kids on tik tok and i havent liked some of the stuff i have seen from him at all.

Thefaceofboe · 05/05/2020 10:04

It’s probably staged, like the one where he dropped her in the pool. I’d be shocked if we did that without her consent

Thefaceofboe · 05/05/2020 10:04

he

LittleRa · 05/05/2020 10:06

People saying that Pringles won’t be thrilled with the brand association... are you aware of the photo of Danielle Lloyd with Pringles sticking out of her labia and her boyfriend nibbling them? I wonder how that affected their sales Shock

IhateBoswell · 05/05/2020 10:08

Danielle Lloyd with Pringles

EYE-BLEACH!!!!

feelingverylazytoday · 05/05/2020 10:08

Of course it isn't sexual assault, anymore than the pranks she pulls on him are domestic violence.
There are some women who don't recoil in horror if they come into contact with their partners penis without being asked first. Personally I wouldn't have give this a second thought. I wouldn't have posted it on social media either though, some things are best kept private.

MrsJBaptiste · 05/05/2020 10:09

@WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo Ah, the helicopter... still makes me laugh after 20 years! Grin

Saladaysior · 05/05/2020 10:11

Oh ffs OP their tik toks are all about them pranking each other, it’s bleeding obvious they’re set up. I highly doubt he had his cock in the tube at all.

BubblyBarbara · 05/05/2020 10:17

Im glad MN exists as a safe space. People disagree here but I’m glad people see this behaviour as sickening. I am often at friends houses and the likes and see my friends DH do things like creep up behind my friends and give them a “squidge” or pinch their bum and stuff and when I am a bit Hmm with them later on they tell me I am being ridiculous Confused

YetiAnotherNameChange · 05/05/2020 10:24

Not seen it, but can't be outraged. It was most likely staged.
It's stupid and probably inappropriate on TikTok if he has younger followers. But it's not a sexual assault if she was in on it.

rayoflightboy · 05/05/2020 10:24

Hes a singer, its not his job to be a role model. If kids see that, then its up to the parents, well to parent.

Hes an adult, hes allowed to do adult things.

I dont know why popstars are supposed to be modals of virtue.Plus kids see worse in the home.

voddiekeepsmesane · 05/05/2020 10:25

OMG really BubblyBarbara ?! It is because I have been with DP for almost 20 years and that I know him inside out and what his intentions are when he squeezes my arse and the same can be said when I squeeze his. Are you really telling me now people are judging the two of us as creepy at best or abusive at worse. Fucking batshit thinking IMO

feelingverylazytoday · 05/05/2020 10:26

BubblyBarbara is it the fact that they're doing it in front of you, or in general, what you find 'sickening'?
I would agree it's a little bit inappropiate to do it in front of friends. A lot of people would find that a little bit embarrassing.

zscaler · 05/05/2020 10:35

I hated that video too, but we don’t necessarily know the details. His girlfriend might have been in on the ‘prank’, since a lot of his tiktok content relates to them playing pranks on each other.

That said I don’t think it’s a great example to set for the many young people following him on tiktok, because it was definitely set up to look like his girlfriend didn’t know.

gingganggooleywotsit · 05/05/2020 10:36

abusive? no. Babyish yes!

Meredithgrey1 · 05/05/2020 10:36

I think it looks staged, she puts her hand in at such a weird angle, keeping the can straight up and in the same place.

Not funny though.
