To think Ollie Murs is a disgrace based on his TikTok?

I don't generally use TikTok, but this stupid thing has been shared right across my social media.

Basically, he made a video of himself cutting the bottom out of a Pringles can. Then took a video of himself and his girlfriend watching tv, eating Pringles from the can, placed on his crotch--so eventually she reached in to find her hand on his penis, which was poked through the bottom of the can.

So, as a joke, he got her to unexpectedly touch his penis. And made a video of himself doing it. On a platform largely used by young people.

Is it just me, or is getting someone to touch your genitalia without consent actually sexual assault?

I suppose the main issue is that he will be well aware that tiktok is very popular with a pretty young audience.

Irrespective of whether they should be on it or not, the fact is that it's v popular with children from mid primary school upwards and I doubt he's unaware of that.

lotusbell · 05/05/2020 09:12

Course it's set up, they're pranking each other. She was obviously in on it, like someone said, you wouldn't put your hand in like that to get Pringles, you'd take the can yourself. It's an age long joke. He's a idiot but his girlfriend obviously doesn't mind.
Have a day off from getting so worked up about stuff.

Cam77 · 05/05/2020 09:16

He’s 35 years old and posting stuff like that for the world to see. I guess his music has limited appeal for anyone out of their teens so perhaps the whole refusing to grow up thing (which many male/female celebrities seem to embrace) perhaps has a financial aspect. Got to keep in with the kids even as you near 40. Pretty tragic really.

Weallhavevalidopinions · 05/05/2020 09:17

Well he sounds like a right prat. Lots of these things are done for attention and often the partner is in on them and both seek attention from others ...look aren't we cool/funny/amazing

I have never seen anyone eat Pringles by putting their hand in rather than just tipping a few out when it gets to the bottom... staged

lemonsandlimes123 · 05/05/2020 09:17

For all the posters thinking TikTok is a kids thing, it really isn't. It's mainly tween girls dancing like they are in a lapdancing club. Both seses in their late teens twenties simulating various sexual practices and then some random dance routines. I would not be letting anyone under 16 have unsupervised access. Some of the BDSM and sex based kink stuff on there is pretty grim, not to mention the disability hate and racism. Seeing 14 year olds do their fake orgasm face is not something I ever want to see again!

namechangetheworld · 05/05/2020 09:18

He's always been an attention seeking tosser, all the way back to his X Factor days. Remember when he missed his twin brothers wedding to be on the show? He's a prize twat.

Definitely not committing sexual assault in that video though...

Yeah, probably shouldn't have put it on TikTok which is used by younge teenagers but I think it's great when you have this kind of relationship, i.e. pranking each other - she does it too.

We do things like all the time although I don't think DH would risk getting his knob salty in my prawn cocktail Pringles!

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 05/05/2020 09:22

Must be staged. If someone loudly woke me up they’d get a mouthful so there’d be nothing to show of TikTok Hmm

FergusComeLately · 05/05/2020 09:23

I haven’t seen the video and I won’t be bothering.
Those saying ‘they are in a relationship so it’s not sexual assault’ let me introduce you to the 21st century where it is not ok for your partner to have contact with your genitalia unless you are welcoming it.
It’s the same if your partner tries to have sex with you without your permission. That one is called rape.

Obvs in this video if she is in on it then it isn’t sexual assault but still, my teenagers spend hours on Tik tok, much as they think they are adults and wise to the world they are still influenced by this stuff so agree with everyone who says Murs is a turd.

Fairyliz · 05/05/2020 09:24

It’s just so juvenile for a man in his late 30’s, makes him look like a twat.

Destroyer · 05/05/2020 09:26

TikTok is not aimed at kids. A bit like YouTube- lots in it for kids, but don’t leave them unsupervised because there’s lots on there that isn’t.

Overtime2019 · 05/05/2020 09:31

They do things like this all the time they didn't hurt each other they find it funny and if you don't like it move on you didn't have to watch it

snappychat · 05/05/2020 09:32

I’ve gone right off him since seeing seeing his stupid TT vids, he’s totally self obsessed, yuk!

SanFranBear · 05/05/2020 09:32

My friend took me to see him a couple of years ago and I was really impressed with how strong his voice was - really good singer. However, his stage show involved him pelvic thrusting, humping his female backing singer and being pretty inappropriate as there were a lot of young girls in the audience.

Made me really change my opinion - from cheeky chappie to sleazy creep, not a good look!

Standupthisisnotateaparty · 05/05/2020 09:33

This post is what the “triggered” meme was invented for.

Ponoka7 · 05/05/2020 09:34

I thought that them recreating the scene from Step Brothers, were they threaten each other, including threats to kill, was in poor taste considering the amount of DV that's gone on.

It is juvenile, laddish behaviour, which he should have grown out of. The problem is when this is put out there as normal behaviour, it's replicated in public. Most women have been subjected to this at some point.

Moonmelodies · 05/05/2020 09:35

Was it big?

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 05/05/2020 09:45

I woke up to my do doing the helicopter dance this morning..........he got a flick on the knob for his efforts..........we must both be sleezebags 🙄🧐😂😂😂

ANoiseAnnoys · 05/05/2020 09:48

I can’t stand Olly Murs. Don’t get his popularity at all.

eniledam · 05/05/2020 09:49

This thread just reminded me that The Lonely Island & Justin Timberlake's hit release "Dick in a box" exists

LGY1 · 05/05/2020 09:49

I saw his concert once. I was quite shocked at how sexualised it was.
Not in a sexy dancing kind of way.....in a groping / pervy kind of way.
The things he came out with & the way he openly objectified the dancers was not nice to watch!

LGY1 · 05/05/2020 09:51

@SanFranBear just read your comment after posting mine. We have the same opinion then!!

TooTrueToBeGood · 05/05/2020 09:52

Does it matter if his girlfriend was in on it? Hardly a good example to set and how many of his followers will copy him? Not wise at all, especially considering his fanbase is young.

BilboBercow · 05/05/2020 09:52

I thought it was a stupid video and a bit grim. However she WAS in on it , that's their thing on tiktok and they're taking it a bit far now.

Let's be honest his cock was never in that tube, he's not going to be able to sneak it in underneath pringles without her noticing, when she's sitting right there.
