To think Ollie Murs is a disgrace based on his TikTok?

I don't generally use TikTok, but this stupid thing has been shared right across my social media.

Basically, he made a video of himself cutting the bottom out of a Pringles can. Then took a video of himself and his girlfriend watching tv, eating Pringles from the can, placed on his crotch--so eventually she reached in to find her hand on his penis, which was poked through the bottom of the can.

So, as a joke, he got her to unexpectedly touch his penis. And made a video of himself doing it. On a platform largely used by young people.

Is it just me, or is getting someone to touch your genitalia without consent actually sexual assault?

For me what they get up to is up to them.

I do think that given that it's well known that loads of young kids are on tiktok this is not great. He would know that.

A lot of people said well those kids shouldn't be there, where are the parents. These answers frustrate me, it's a cop out. The fact is, tiktok is v popular from mid primary school up. Whether they should be there or not is beside the point. They are there, and he would be well aware of that. And he is very famous.

BeetrootRocks · 05/05/2020 22:03

TBH I'm too old to be 100% sure who he is not from the descriptions on here he sounds like an attention seeking wanker. (Probably literally soon on tiktok as his attention seeking ramps up!!!).

Sux2buthen · 05/05/2020 22:29

Hi can we chat about sex.

Crikey

BubblyBarbara · 05/05/2020 22:45

I remember there was a song back in the 90s that went something like “let’s talk about sex baby“ so clearly this is not some alien language I’m speaking

DrawingLife · 05/05/2020 22:51

TikTok has lots of very young users, I think it's bad taste and really poor judgement apart from being unfunny. Would put me right off. I wouldn't know him from Adam but a friend's disabled 10 yo is a huge fan and got to meet him this year. I hope she and her parents don't see this.

RabbityMcRabbit · 05/05/2020 23:01

I'm not sure Pringles will ever recover-first Danielle Lloyd and now this!

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 05/05/2020 23:10

Good God the last time I initiated sex with DP I grabbed hold of his head, shoved it between my boobs and purred ' do you fancy a spot of horizontal dancing later ? Wink wink '

Well I say purred........I probably sound and look like Grotbags with a throat infection. Hmm

The last time dp initiated sex (( this morning )) I woke up to the helicopter and him chirping 'no ones awake, shall we have a snuggle ? ' > he then skulked off to the shower with his tail knob between his legs.

I mean I'm no fan of Olly Murs either, he's just another annoying celeb doing the pick me dance on social media so we don't forget he exists but saying what he did was sexual assault and abusive is as ridiculous as the suggestion we sit down and open up a discussion about having sex.

If my relationship ever became that staid and boring I'd be out, it's possible to have mutual respect and still have an injection of fun in there without going to extremes .

FlapAttack23 · 05/05/2020 23:14

@Unravellingslowly “flavour dust on your sleeve “ 😂😂😂

VladTheDictator · 05/05/2020 23:16

OP lots of people will biscuit you but if it was their own child they would not be happy. It is a bad example and you are right to find it inappropriate.

BeetrootRocks · 05/05/2020 23:20

Re the song- let's talk about sex- salt n peps also did push it.. remember it well Grin

Another one from those days... We don't have to take our clothes off to have a good time, na na, we could dance and party all night, and drink some cherry wine la la...

Even at about 14 me and my mates were like, that sounds like a shit evening Grin

How couples instigate sex etc is up to them.

Putting this on tiktok when he has presumably lots of young followers (?) and will be well aware there are kids on there from v young (whatever the t&c say) is a bit not right.

Also, he sounds like a prick.

Hunnybears · 05/05/2020 23:27

I’m indifferent to him. Seems an ok bloke in general terms. Don’t know much about him through choice, just what you see/hear etc..

I get the feeling he’s trying too hard to keep in the public eye, trying to ‘entertain and be a bit crazy’

He’s had his moments of fame that to be fair have lasted for several years. Far more than anyone (including him I imagine) could ever have predicted.

I don’t blame him for wanting to hold on to it, but I think everyone has a shelf life and his is due to expire

Hunnybears · 05/05/2020 23:32

Btw no I’ve not seen his latest tik tok.

cornersteps · 05/05/2020 23:42

Erm, have you listened to that song? It's not a couple making their moves on each other 😂😂

Mummyshark2019 · 05/05/2020 23:52

He's an absolute twit.

JustAddCoffee91 · 05/05/2020 23:58

I'd be more fuming that he'd contaminated my Pringles with his stinky winky tbh...

Dont be so stupid.Hes allowed a private life, hes an adult.Hes not some do gooder.

And its been pointed out TikTok isnt for very young users.

Im sick of celebrities having to curb their adult behaviour because parents cant say no to kids and not let them on adult sites.

Its not like hes beting someone up,drink driving or grooming kids. What hes ding many people do.Its a prank.

MrsP2015 · 06/05/2020 07:18

I hated him when he was first famous- then for years.
However, last few years he's grown on me, especially on the voice.

First time I've seen this tiktok and whether staged or not it's totally in appropriate to share something like that with the public.

Back to hating him again.

He should lose his place on the voice.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/05/2020 07:29

He’s 35, it’s not attractive to still act like your 15 at 35.

How embarrassing he’s not realised this.

Helmetbymidnight · 06/05/2020 07:36

hes allowed a private life

um can you really see no difference whatsoever between messing around at home and recording something for millions of followers?

JustAnotherPoster00 · 06/05/2020 08:14

Since when did becoming famous mean you are now a defacto role model? Its creepy and fucking weird to think they should be and then the inevitable 'lets cancel them because they dont match my morals that I placed on them because I know who they are'

NekoShiro · 06/05/2020 08:21

Tiktok requires users to be 13 before making aan account and tbh parents should have parental controls in place to make sure younger kids don't create accounts on apps like this.

That being said that sounds like teenage tiktok/YouTube 'comedy' a la jake Paul, that couple that 'prank' each other, morgz, etcim sure the girlfriend knew what was coming every time as filming tiktok look quite a lengthy process, you have to do the whole clip in one basically and pause the recording every time you want to change scene, atleast that's what I've gathered.

So yeah the old popcorn box in the dark cinema with the bottom cut off gag is inappropriate but it's not exactly new either, a quick Google tells me it first happened in 1980 in a French comedy called La Boum, again in 1982 and then yet again Justin timberlake did a skit for snl in 2006 called d*ck in a box where he said the best gift for women at christmas is gift wrapping your member in a box,

sooooo I don't really think hes doing anything crazy to a bunch of 13 years old who should of started to have sex ed and would know this isnt something people actually do.

redwoodmazza · 06/05/2020 08:29

I was already cringing thinking of Olly Murs' ''TikTok'' Confused
only to find out that it was actually a thread about Olly Murs' ''TikTok''!!!
Grin

Helmetbymidnight · 06/05/2020 08:31

yeah he's certainly not a role model

AvalancheKit · 06/05/2020 08:47

I think you are all being ridiculous. It was a Smarties tube.
