AIBU - Neighbour yelling “Ballsack”

Charlbugh · 03/05/2020 18:04

DH and I have lived here for in excess of 10 years. It’s a nice area and we get along with most of our neighbours, or at least the ones in our road that we know.

There is one house two doors down that appears to be rented out as rooms. We don’t tend to see or hear much from them, just occasionally we see a new face going in and out the gate.

We have been at home all day today, as have DD1 and DD2 (as it is the weekend). Every half hour or so, I have heard angry shouting coming from somewhere - I assume from the house with rented rooms. DH has been out to try and work out what is happening, but cannot see anything. Unfortunately our house does not overlook their garden. He says that when he’s outside all he can hear is a male voice shouting what appears to be “ballsack”.

I am concerned for the persons wellbeing, as this is not normal behaviour. DH says to ignore it, I would prefer to call the police and have them look into it as it is not sensible nor appropriate behaviour. AIBU?

The OP has clearly never heard of the 1980s game 'Bollocks', which involved shouting 'BOLLOCKS' louder than your opponent, starting with a whisper and ending in being grounded.

The word was 'SCROTUM' here in London, and had to be played in a public place. Played in the Kings Road usually - but we were posh. It obviously devolved into something a bit more basic in the Home Counties.

Yes, someone else has lost their African grey and is calling it back!

LittleBearPad · 03/05/2020 19:51

Joyous thread.

Especially

an independent secondary school which achieves outstanding results each year.

This may be the key for OP and her privately educated girls!

anxietrist · 03/05/2020 19:52

I wish I had been shouting something as wholesome as ballsack all day.

SofiaAmes · 03/05/2020 19:53

As an American reading all of this....I am beginning to wonder if you Brits haven't all gone a bit crazy during lockdown. This is the funniest Trolling I've read in a long time.

GabsAlot · 03/05/2020 19:54

Ah sofia nah we're all mad all the time-hope youre well

i like the gam BOGIES!

PhilCornwall1 · 03/05/2020 19:54

I bet the guy is into BDSM and he's had his ballsack nailed. It's a thing ........ apparently. Hmm

scooter125 · 03/05/2020 19:55

Can't you get him to shout ''SCROTUM'' instead? Much nicer.

bobstersmum · 03/05/2020 19:56

They're doing what Dick and Dom used to do, but they used to shout Bogeys! I think. They'll be filming from their window all the people with too much time on their hands walking around their gardens trying to work out where the ballsacks are coming from.

Suzie6789 · 03/05/2020 19:58

Awww I’m upset this is a wind up Grin
I was laughing, although tbh my son shouts worse when he’s gaming with his bedroom windows open. Fuck knows what my naice, middle class, detached neighbours think of us.

Ajollygoodwrap · 03/05/2020 19:58

easy europeans...you know the sort

No we really don't but please do tell us. Just how easy are these particular europeans?

Chillipeanuts · 03/05/2020 19:58

KerryMucklowe

Obviously not, she’d be hearing “shit it”.

Why do these things only seem to happen in “nice” neighbourhoods?
Or is it just so regular an occurrence in common neighbourhoods that the neighbours don’t notice Grin

Moi?, gated community, peasants.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 03/05/2020 19:59

Maybe OP mentioned its rented as SOME people who rent are utter arseholes

I have one moved in next door to me . Nightmare woman. Landlords, from what I can see, do not give a toss for the neighbours of whomever they choose to allow to live in their house !! Just let the money roll in .!

EmpressLangClegInChair · 03/05/2020 20:01

Oh alright, we'll leave it up for a bit.

Thanks Hebe. We need threads like this right now!

Haffiana I can't imagine the odd 'scrotum' turned a hair on the Kings Road, surely? We were proper rebels here in the 80s Home Counties.

Caramel78 · 03/05/2020 20:04

Funniest thread ever 😂😂😂😂😂

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 03/05/2020 20:05

lol
What some more shit with your spoon @Ajollygoodwrap ?

ThrowbackMagic · 03/05/2020 20:06

Maybe it’s their safe word.

Bobbiepin · 03/05/2020 20:06

Could the one shouting BALLSACK be the child you neglected by not sending him to independent school?

Inkpaperstars · 03/05/2020 20:06

Before the thread disappears....someone tell me, is it a joke one?

purrswhileheeats · 03/05/2020 20:11

He could be knocking back Prozac?

Do you live in a house, a very big house in the country?

DianaTrentIsBack · 03/05/2020 20:11

Could be Tourette's, could be someone having a breakdown, they could be playing a computer game and getting frustrated, or maybe they live with someone who's a ballsack and lockdown means they can't keep it to themselves any longer.

Anyway, don't phone the police. Not only is it wasting their time but the last thing someone having a breakdown needs is someone phoning the police and pretending to care when they're really just nosy.

iklboo · 03/05/2020 20:12

@WhentheRabbitsWentWild?

What do you mean? @Ajollygoodwrap is taking the piss out of the OP who obviously meant to type East Europeans to froth us up (as if) but typed easy instead - making more of a dick of herself.

iklboo · 03/05/2020 20:13

@DianaTrentIsBack - it's a troll thread. Read a few more of the OP's increasingly risible posts and it's obvious Wink
