AIBU - Neighbour yelling “Ballsack”

318 replies

Charlbugh · 03/05/2020 18:04

DH and I have lived here for in excess of 10 years. It’s a nice area and we get along with most of our neighbours, or at least the ones in our road that we know.

There is one house two doors down that appears to be rented out as rooms. We don’t tend to see or hear much from them, just occasionally we see a new face going in and out the gate.

We have been at home all day today, as have DD1 and DD2 (as it is the weekend). Every half hour or so, I have heard angry shouting coming from somewhere - I assume from the house with rented rooms. DH has been out to try and work out what is happening, but cannot see anything. Unfortunately our house does not overlook their garden. He says that when he’s outside all he can hear is a male voice shouting what appears to be “ballsack”.

I am concerned for the persons wellbeing, as this is not normal behaviour. DH says to ignore it, I would prefer to call the police and have them look into it as it is not sensible nor appropriate behaviour. AIBU?

Whats the female equivalent of ballsack? Maybe clit hood, try yelling that at him? Expand on his anatomical knowledge

(My reply assumes this thread us a wind up and not that the op has a neighbour with tourettes who she should leave the fuck alone)

Toomanyradishes · 24/12/2021 09:19

Oh fuck, zombile thread ffs

TheCreamCaker · 24/12/2021 09:40

It certainly isn't a matter for the police.

vodkaredbullgirl · 24/12/2021 09:50

blast from the past

WontBeSurprised · 24/12/2021 10:06

I used to love MN - with threads like this.
Not so much now. It's all doom and gloom, hand wringing and virtue signalling ('my eco credentials are far superior to yours').

We had a vulnerable neighbour who stood on the front lawn talking and the police came pretty quickly to help her. You could try the non emergency number of you think there is a welfare issue

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 24/12/2021 11:47

Are you sure it is a zombie thread?
I assumed he was still yelling it. Confused

@rufflyshirt

This thread is from May 2020

@Charlbugh

We’ve heard the neighbour again! It is definitely “ballsack” that is being shouted.

For those saying it is not from the “rental property” I can assure you, it is in one of the accents of those that usually live there. Generally easy European, you know the sort. I couldn’t say which country.

Thanks for your totally useless input though!

doublemonkey · 24/12/2021 12:24

@JesusInTheCabbageVan

....could he have a cat or dog named Balzac?
Genius!

Thanks for your totally useless input though!

Merry Christmas to you too.

UsernameInTheTown · 24/12/2021 13:05

Got a bit confused between Balzac and Balonz for a minute.
Yes yes to report someone repeatedly shouting "Ballsack!" And be sure to let us know what they say!

skybluee · 24/12/2021 16:26

Could they be Turkish and yelling 'bulsak' to an animal?
Find/get
Zombie :(

NeverForgetYourDreams · 24/12/2021 16:41

Perhaps he's gaming and has headphones on and shouting at the screen?

EvilPea · 24/12/2021 16:41

I knew someone who had the nickname “ballbag”
Maybe he lives in the rented house?

percythewitch · 24/12/2021 17:19

Maybe it translates as ZOMBIE

WildRosie · 24/12/2021 17:47

Who cares if it's a zombie thread ? It always amazes me that folk can get so uptight over these, just because they didn't start recently.
