AIBU - Neighbour yelling “Ballsack”

Charlbugh · 03/05/2020 18:04

DH and I have lived here for in excess of 10 years. It’s a nice area and we get along with most of our neighbours, or at least the ones in our road that we know.

There is one house two doors down that appears to be rented out as rooms. We don’t tend to see or hear much from them, just occasionally we see a new face going in and out the gate.

We have been at home all day today, as have DD1 and DD2 (as it is the weekend). Every half hour or so, I have heard angry shouting coming from somewhere - I assume from the house with rented rooms. DH has been out to try and work out what is happening, but cannot see anything. Unfortunately our house does not overlook their garden. He says that when he’s outside all he can hear is a male voice shouting what appears to be “ballsack”.

I am concerned for the persons wellbeing, as this is not normal behaviour. DH says to ignore it, I would prefer to call the police and have them look into it as it is not sensible nor appropriate behaviour. AIBU?

You know we are all meant to be home all the time right?

You know millions of people are still going to work right? Grin

Why call the Police when you're 'assuming' the shouting is from a house which 'appears' to be rented rooms and you're not sure what he's actually saying . Confused

Warsawa31 · 03/05/2020 18:27

That’s strange because I live in a rented room and have been shouting BALL SACK every 30 minutes today to freak my neighbours out

Charlbugh · 03/05/2020 18:27

DH has just heard it again (as have I) and went outside. It is definitely “ballsack” that is being shouted, thoigh we are unsure form where.

I can hear it is definitely coming from the house I suspect, I can’t see why any others would do this. To the best of the knowledge there are no special needs at the house, so I can not fathom why this is necessary.

DH still thinks I’m mad to want to go the police but I admit I am concerned.

You must have lived a sheltered life if you think this is something worthy of calling the police Grin

I also suspect angry gamer. My DH yells out swear words, especially when on call of duty.

BrooHaHa · 03/05/2020 18:28

Maybe it's Balonz trying to contact his brother Balzac

ScarfLadysBag · 03/05/2020 18:29

Maybe it's like the button in Lost. He has to shout Ballsack every 30 mins or something awful will happen.

Brogley · 03/05/2020 18:29

To the best of the knowledge there are no special needs at the house

Maybe they forgot to hang their 'SPECIAL NEEDS HERE' banner up and sound their hourly klaxon?

It's not a police matter.

Have you tried knocking on the door at the house it's coming from?

Warsawa31 · 03/05/2020 18:30

Brogley I just nearly peed myself lol 😂

BrooHaHa · 03/05/2020 18:31

I can hear it is definitely coming from the house I suspect

This seems like a contradiction in terms, OP.

Redcherries · 03/05/2020 18:31

Gamer. It’s probably today's in word to mock the loser.

If it’s rooms then I’d imagine the adults renting the other rooms could report anything concerning to the police?

ButDoYouAvocado · 03/05/2020 18:31

Oh my god RENTED ROOMS!!

PointlessUsername · 03/05/2020 18:31

What would you say to the police, somebody is shouting ballsack?

Sn0tnose · 03/05/2020 18:32

You want to call the police because someone in your street is shouting a word that you can’t even hear unless you stand outside their house? Because you don’t think it’s sensible behaviour?

Are you being serious?

Strongswans · 03/05/2020 18:32

Wouldn't even cross my mind to call the police! Most likely a gamer or someone who has Tourette's.

AquarianSquirrel · 03/05/2020 18:32

Amazing! Cheered me right up. Thanks op Grin

Sparklesocks · 03/05/2020 18:33

Is it like BAAAAALLL SAAAAAAACK!

Or more of a tight BALLSACK!!

RRocket · 03/05/2020 18:34

Shout back "FANNY FLAPS" and see what response you get.

Tink2007 · 03/05/2020 18:34

I’m glad your husband thinks it’s mad to want to call the police because it is.

Please do not bother the police with this.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 03/05/2020 18:34

@DaphneFanshaw I like that idea. Although the hider is clearly shite at it and must be feeling quite demoralised by this point Sad

Wtfdidwedo · 03/05/2020 18:35

Please call the police and tell them someone is shouting ballsack every half hour, but make sure you record the call so we can all enjoy it.

elizabethdraper · 03/05/2020 18:35

This hilarious

So glad you don't live near me. Mind you ba'll sack was a great favourite of my late mother

Nousernameforme · 03/05/2020 18:36

Maybe they are trying to build some flatpack?

TheThingWithFeathers · 03/05/2020 18:36

I'm amazed that your thought process completely bypassed "knock on the door" and went straight to "call the police"!

Smilebehappy123 · 03/05/2020 18:37

GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Fucking ball sacks , he is probably shouting it to your husband who is being a bell end trying to figure it out Grin
