To spend this much

DH wants to spend appx 6% of our household income on groceries (2 adults, 1 toddler & BF baby). It's really tight. I'd prefer to spend 10%. That would make meal planning, shopping & cooking everyday so much easier.

And, if you don't mind sharing, appx what % of household income do you spend on groceries?

A lot depends on how much booze, snacks and ready-made stuff you buy, as well as expenditure on things like toiletries.
I think 4 can be fed for £75 at Tesco at moment if you’re careful. That would include things like 2 mince (best quality) based meals, 2 chicken based meals, a sausage based meal, one pizza meal plus something like a bacon stir fry or pasta bake. There is always plenty of fruit and veg plus sandwich or soup lunches, some desserts, cereal or toast for breakfast plus some biscuits or cakes. Includes 1 bottle of wine or 6 beers and some drinks for kids. Also includes loo rolls plus prob 2 cleaning products per week and 2 toiletry products.
