To ask if you dream in colour ?

Just that really . I never knew that people dream in colour , Ive always dreamed in black and white ?!
It was only when my husband happened to bring it up in conversation a few weeks back that I came to understand that it is possible to dream in colour . So....does anyone else dream like me or are you all coloured dreamers and I’m the weird one ?

Colour. Interesting question, it had never occurred to me anyone would dream in anything else.

I think I dream in colour as I have no conception or memory of dreaming any other way.

Why the hell are you dreaming in monochrome? Do you only have a B&W licence?

Vivid colour. And sound. Every single night. And at the moment my dreams are madder than ever and staying with throughout the day. It’s exhausting.

I dream like I would see in real life... like I imagine scenarios or events as if I’m remembering them?

Colour, just like being awake - including smells and tastes. I've read that this is impossible but it isn't.

I don’t dream in anything other than pure black - I can’t imagine images at all in my head. I can recall details, such as brown hair but I can’t ‘visualise’ anything.

Colour. I dream as if I am there and experiencing what is happening, if I dreamt in black and white it would help clear up that confusion I experience when I wake up and take a moment to sort out what was dream and what is reality.

There's a thing where people don't have a 'mind's eye', i.e. they don't really visualise stuff when they think about it. I wonder if this is part of that.

That’s the thing , it never occurred to me that anyone would dream anything different . It really threw me when I realised that my husband dreams in actual colour . @DollyDoneMore lol no I don’t have a b&w license . Everything in my life is very much colour! @OoooImBlindedByTheLight it’s literally real life image but black and white . No colour or anything . So if I dream of my husband, or a friend or a pet, it is them but not in colour !

I dream in colour. When I was younger I would also have background music going on too, though I don't think that happens any more.

@Blackandgreenteas in the dream it feels very real still, just no colour . So for example I had a nap earlier and since being pregnant I’ve had really weird dreams, and I was dreaming about getting a cat sitter and I saw a van across the road with a number on to call and it was very real but just all colourless . And I remember them really clearly too

Supposedly those who dream in black and white are meant to be much more creative than the average colour dreamer.

I dream in colour usually. Very rarely in black and white, and sometimes in psychedelic colours. I tend to dream about very similar things for a while.

I'm not sure if if I always dream in colour but the times I do have lead me to inspiration. My love of purple was based on a dream about 5 years ago and I dreamt about a pastel coloured prism tattoo on my wrist - it was beautiful .
