dont do LOA constantly but it has worked a few times.

And they are getting stronger today. We only had sex twice this month just shows! I also made a mind movie on my phone of preg ladies and babies and watched it everyday for visulisation the universe has listened!!

Exactly,@CoffeeIsMyOnlyJoy

People congratulating themselves for being fortunate and trying to claim responsibility for it.

A word of warning. When I was in my 20’s (in the 1980’s) I managed to scrape together enough money to buy a small house. I didn’t have money for furniture and fittings so had bits and pieces given to me by relatives. I didn’t mind sitting in a deck chair or eating my dinner off a tray on my lap, but I really missed having a tv.
I moaned to my mum about it and said I really really wished I had one.
Two weeks later my wish came true. How?
My gran died suddenly and no one else in the family wanted her recently purchased tv, so my mum gave it to me.
Be careful what you wish for.

Maternity units are going to be packed to the rafters in January...congrats btw.

Seetheprettysnowdrops · 01/05/2020 20:04

What a load of shite Grin

Triggahippy · 01/05/2020 20:32

It worked for me. In fact, it’s worked a few times. I think quantum physics is a thing as opposed to LOA though.
Good luck with your baby

Poppi89 · 01/05/2020 20:33

@Fairyliz - I posted this earlier - it is always a fear of mine for some reason.

I always dream of having a big house etc but never pray/wish for it as I am always worried it will come back as bad luck somehow - has anyone had this?

RyanBergarasTeeth · 01/05/2020 21:17

I think loa actually works in the sense it makes people feel more happy and positive so they make more decisions that they may have shied away from initially. I think its a nice enough concept.

DDemelza · 01/05/2020 21:41

You're up the duff because of a notebook scrawl, and NOT because hubs shot his beans up your muff.🤔

1555CC · 01/05/2020 22:10

Never read such crap in my life.

You've not been on here long then?

1555CC · 01/05/2020 22:10

You're up the duff because of a notebook scrawl, and NOT because hubs shot his beans up your muff.

And the 2020 Nobel prize for literature goes to......

1555CC · 01/05/2020 22:14

Are there really cottages with gardens in central London?

Loads. Mews houses mainly. Not a detached cottage with a thatched roof, but a terraced cottage with gardens or often roof gardens.

sonjadog · 01/05/2020 22:21

I was not aware that a cottage could be terraced. But I am prepared to admit that my cottage knowledge may be lacking.

EverdeRose · 01/05/2020 22:23

As much as I believe LOA can work, mainly because it keeps a set goal in your mind which you sub-consciously make decisions to work towards.

In this case you were fertile and having unprotected sex. believing it was down to LOA very much undermines the struggle a lot of people have when trying to get pregnant, who could wish and want as much as anything but still not get pregnant.

Congratulations OP, it's amazing news and worth celebrating, even if it's not down to LOA.

AllianceOfCorcles · 01/05/2020 23:15

Self fulfilling prophecy whether good or bad your thoughts will guide you there pretty quickly - therefore the way I see it why not hope for the best?

donquixotedelamancha · 01/05/2020 23:30

I would say the happiest, most popular people I’ve come across tend to be believers in it.

I only know one person this gullible. He was, surprisingly, unhappy with his life and tried one desperate cult or con after another. He grew out of it.

donquixotedelamancha · 01/05/2020 23:34

Why are people being so fucking horrible!

I really don't think it's horrible to point out that confidence tricks are just that. I think it's much more horrible to encourage this rubbish.

Congrats on the baby, though, OP.

AllianceOfCorcles · 02/05/2020 02:52

Each to their own ☺️

Laurend0603 · 02/05/2020 06:31

Congratulations on the pregnancy but you are being massively UR. I obviously had a miscarriage because I just didn't want it enough Hmm. I was obviously in a car accident because I was telling the universe I wanted it to happenHmm.

You really are full of crap OP.

ElectricTonight · 02/05/2020 08:04

I've read the book, watched the film, not once did I think wow this is evil or in any way trying to make people feel shit.

And it's funny because all the people saying it's bollocks are being negative so I'm a firm believer in positive thinking can cause positive things, the same with being negative. I'm not saying you wasn't positive enough so that's why you experienced sad things, but our universe DOES feel, we are surrounded by the electromagnetic field of course our feelings "vibe" with the world!

donquixotedelamancha · 02/05/2020 08:11

And it's funny because all the people saying it's bollocks are being negative

It's not negative to point out lies. Your post is negative because it isn't true and whines that others shouldn't point that out.

HolyWells · 02/05/2020 08:16

@ElectricTonight, I really think you might want to read about electromagnetism. And physics. Your post shows only a complete lack of critical thinking, and a misunderstanding of basic science.

ElectricTonight · 02/05/2020 08:29

@donquixotedelamancha You don't know that though do you? People can believe in whatever they want and that's fine. That's like telling someone who believes in God that it's lies, which again we don't know.

1555CC · 02/05/2020 08:30

but our universe DOES feel, we are surrounded by the electromagnetic field of course our feelings "vibe" with the world!

This is the kind of pseudo scientific claptrap that hoodwinks so many fools...long clever sounding words put together in such a way that it sounds impressive but actually flies in the face of everything we've ever discovered about physics and the universe we live in.

I actually think this kind of hogwash is actually very dangerous.

ElectricTonight · 02/05/2020 08:31

Oh I have @HolyWells. @1555CC it's never done me any harm 🤷🏻‍♀️
