When DH and I have been isolating for four weeks (we work from home) and haven’t been out except for grocery shopping once a week (where we pick up groceries for my parents). My parents have also been totally isolated since this all started.

Phoebe Your figures aren't remotely accurate.

Only 17% of admissions go straight to HD or ICU.
Of them, 31% are discharged, 45% die, 24% are still in ICU.

So, even if you are sick enough to need intensive care, you have a better than 50-50 chance of survival.

Yes - it's a horrible illness. Worse than Ebola, because people with slight or no symptoms can go about their normal lives and spread the virus. But 'scaring people silly' is exactly what your post is doing.
