My bikini for after lockdown??

I'm mid 50s, 2 stone overweight and about 5'4".

AIBU in thinking I can carry this off when we eventually get out of lockdown? I am thinking sunbathing in local parks, round the outdoor pool at the sports club and of course, family holiday overseas if we are able to travel.

To be honest, its not what I would normally buy but since it keeps popping up in the ads bar on MN, I thought, why the heck not!

What size are you? They only have upto a 12 in stock.

It doesn't look very forgiving! I am a similar size to the model (although older) and might wear in ibiza/marbs but not in a park in the uk

@RogueV - same! I am flabbergasted by it and I have a 20 year old DD who is not shy of flashing flesh - even she said "no way" would she wear it.

@TheStarryNight - I like to think I'm a bit of an animal which is why I was veering to the black with faux leopard print. Also a bit of a homage to Joe Exotic.

I might go for the pink to accentuate my wobbly white thighs and very dark, out of control, bikini line.

Oh bloody now I keep getting those ads at the top. It is just too tempting. Maybe we could start a revolution and reclaim the itsy bikini for a menopausal ( if I could keep the important bits tucked in )

@mildlymiffed - great idea!! Most days I am zooming in my pj bottoms, slippers but with a "work top" for upstairs - this could be the new me - might make the meetings end a bit sooner!

@MorrisZapp - I am bemused as to why they started on my MN ads bar as I've never even so much as searched for a swimsuit on my laptop. The ads I get are usually for cheap specs and dry skin emollients!

I'm 53 and ..... I'd wear it.

I think that I'd look great in it. Everyone else is entitled to their own opinion
