Aibu regarding Fleetwood Mac

This is terribly trivial, I am aware.
I was watching Peter Kay's Car Share and there was a part where Peter Kay's character said that the Fleetwood Mac version of Dreams was better than The Coors version. This is one of my all time favourite songs and personally think The Coors butchered it, however my sister said The Coors version is better.
AIBU to say Fleetwood Mac's original is far better than The Coors version.

She flinched when I bought them and said “If that’s the Corrs, I’d hate to see the effect”. I think it was doing the rounds back then!

If you find that Classic Albums tv programme that’s often on Sky Arts, the one about the making of Rumours shows just how brilliant Stevie Nicks’ and Christine McVie’s voices are, along with everything else which went towards the making of that album. It’s very interesting to hear the songs broken down.

Corr is pronounced Core.

YANBU. There are a handful of covers that get close to the intent of the original - for example Jeff Buckley and Hallelujah, but you're on a hiding to nothing trying to cover anything done by vocalists such as Stevie Nicks or Christine McVie.

'Landslide' is another FM song I love that's been butchered covered to death, by the likes of the Smashing Pumpkins, Dixie Chicks and even the cast of Glee! I'm not sure why people even attempt covers of such iconic songs. Of course they're going to fall short. I just don't know why they would want to put themselves in that position unless they really are arrogant enough to think they can do better.

A cover has to bring something new, Lissie did a brilliant cover of Stairway to Heaven, but it was a completely different interpretation.

Fleetwood Mac ( or rather Stevie Nicks) wrote the original song. It's not a version.
Sorry to be pedantic, I seem to have woken up in an ornery mood.

My DP is obsessed with Fleetwood Mac. He talks about them ('Lindsay did this', 'Mick did that') like they're his personal friends.

I'll have to remember to wind him up about The Corrs.

I preferred Andrea Corr's vocals on this in a technical way, but in terms of raw, real emotion she couldn't ever touch Fleetwood Mac.
