Weirdly the story has now disappeared from the BBC since I saw it this morning, but basically. Donald Trump is suggesting UV treatment and injecting disinfectant as a means to kill COVID.

Obviously most know he’s a lunatic, but enough support him to keep him in power, and people will take this advice seriously and will surely inevitably die as a result.

Thing is, there seems no way to stop him. if he gets back into power, which he undoubtedly will, then they have another four years of this, in which case the stability of the country is in serious danger.

But if he doesn’t get in I predict serious unrest and even wonder whether the states could end up in civil war.

Either way it’s not a place I would want to be going right now.

Well the man knows how to buy votes. And the democrats have settled on Joe Biden who is no better. They wasted all that time and money on an impeachment that was doomed to fail (and did fail) when they should have been working on a better candidate to run against Trump. So I think Trump will go another four years.

I think the problem is that many of his supporters accept his 'widsom' over those of experts who actually know what they're talking about. And he's always boasting about that, so he shouldn't be taking chances with people's safety by making statements like this.

Trump simply cannot cope with an opponent - namely Covid19 - that he can't attack by giving it stupid names or accusing it of fake news. Is there no procedure in the US for a President who is clearly in the throes of dementia to be removed?

Why would anyone over 5 even be asking this question? It was complete madness.

He also suggested as the sun kills the virus quicker, that they would look into light therapy. When the pot expert clearly said surfaces and not people. He asked the poor man to look into it when it’s not his area.

Perhaps news outlets there are so concerned about this suggestion they think it’s unsafe to broadcast it? The Americans don’t always get the best people to be presidents due to their system which is over reliant on funds from supporters, advertising etc. Trump was also the master of the 3 word slogan - lock her up, build the wall etc just like Brexit - get Brexit done etc. People aren’t the brightest are they?

I absolutely agree with Isabeller, the thought of this deranged man gaining another four years in power is awful to say the least. He is a compulsive liar, unable to empathise with other human beings who uses the vocabulary of a not very intelligent adolescent.

If his followers act on his advice, at least they will be no loss to the planet. And, I do realise this is an awful thing to say.

An anti-malarial drug he was very keen on for a while and kept touting it because he had 'hope' in it and what have you got to lose.

Turns out for someone, it was their life.

One of his 'followers' took the drug, I think a animal dose ,and died.
