Glad he’s got his priorities right in the middle of a pandemic. He’s really, really want to see mumsnet closed down and has a fair following - even been on telly

Arla's response is very measured and appropriate

Good for them for not capitulating and for showing objectivity and independence.

I bet he's having a right hissy fit now. Would love to be a fly on the wall.

Lies, anti women propaganda : misogyny at it’s best. Horrible, horrible comments.

As for the comment about there being an “alternative”. Right now, not one I’d like to impart my wisdom on. I like this place.

Excellent response from Arla, well done!
Mumsnet is pro women, not anti trans, and Haddock is a complete arse.

I quite like being called a conservative bigot. It’s a nice break from the ‘commie scum’ label people have tended to give me in the past!

Unfortunately there is a lot of anti trans stuff allowed to be posted on here.

Brilliant, well done Arla! Didn’t know they did the Skyr yoghurts too. Like them even more now.

Have never bought Skyr but will now.

He is a misogynist in the extreme.

Like what? Things have been tightened up no end here. Pro trans waffle is also left to stand. Cis, for example, is not allowed as a descriptive on Mumsnet for natal males or females but is not automatically deleted.

Well done Arla!

I can still see Harrop's tweets though, doesn't look like he's been suspended to me?

PronounssheRa · 16/04/2020 17:31

I had forgotten about the child brides tweet.

As a doctor he would know about the serious and sometimes fatal consequences for young girls in childbirth. He doesn't give a shit about them, just wants to suck up to jessen.

You have to wonder how a man with such little self awareness manages to operate his daily life. I suspect he’s roundly loathed wherever he goes.

That Sky News appearance with Posie Parker is still one of the classics. So funny. What a dick he is.

Yes, it is - it's like any word on here that is against the guidelines - it's post moderated, as in you can post and it'll go through, but if they receive a report, it'll get deleted.
Just like with any other "banned" words. That one is no exception.

He gets very upset every time someone @him in a tweet with the sky news Posie clip.

He seems very bitter.

It must be hard living life with that much pent up hate.

I have read a number of transphobic threads on MN. However, this does not mean MN is transphobic. However, I would expect them to remove such posts when brought to their attention. Perhaps they already do this.

However, there are some 'trans activists' who run under that guise but are anything but advocating for the rights of trans people.

I no longer live in the UK so don't know too much about him. However, it does seem like now would be a good time to not 'feed the troll' and ignore him.

There are women on mumsnet who think and dare say that a woman is simply an adult female

It is shocking that this is considered to be an 'anti trans' statement but there we are. Harrop HATES women and specifically hates women who dare to disagree with his toxic agenda. He hates women talking and organising without their male overlords' permission. It is tragic really.

There is no transphobia on MN as even the slightest whiff of anything even slightly contraversial is deleted instantly. I believe that, for a while, posters were even told off for the 'misgendering' of male rapists such as Karen White.

we are in the midst of a pandemic

Precisely. One would have thought that an NHS doctor would view the pandemic as a priority. Not some bizarre campaign against mumsnet. Very peculiar.
