I did exactly the same 😂

TaTuirseOrm · 14/04/2020 23:09

I really enjoyed ep. 1& 2, looking forward to tomorrow night - And yes, that made me laugh!

notanotherjigsawpiece · 14/04/2020 23:13

I can’t get my head round what actually happened Blush DH has tried to explain it to me multiple times this evening and I still don’t get it - he’s just stormed off to bed Grin

IKEA888 · 14/04/2020 23:14

o didn't think I'd enjoy it. it's good.

Collision · 14/04/2020 23:17

@notanotherjigsawpiece check it out on YouTube

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 14/04/2020 23:28

"Celebrity Crime Unit?"
"Sounds like a shit detective show"
"Sounds like something we'd make"

Loved the board room part.

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 14/04/2020 23:37

It's great - comical and unbelievable that they managed to actually (almost) get away with it.

SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace · 14/04/2020 23:49

I'm loving it! Really intrigued about all of the failings of the show though. It's ridiculous that 3 members of the same family managed to get onto the biggest show in the country. The way they have portrayed it is hilarious though!

LetsBeSensible · 14/04/2020 23:55

I did think of mumsnet

Rhubarbisevil · 15/04/2020 00:21

Matthew Macfadyen. Woof.

torthecatlady · 15/04/2020 00:34

I'm enjoying it! The comedy is spot on. Dh enjoyed it too and it's not his sort of thing at all.

Do you think the producers really did suspect something was going on mid-show?

I also have the urge to re-watch slumdog millionaire. Adds to lockdown list.

Mammyloveswine · 15/04/2020 00:36

Oh I've loved it!

UnagiSalmonSkinRoll · 15/04/2020 04:04

@torthecatlady I wondered this too. For some reason I also thought they were found out once they actually had the money and had started spending, but it was nearly 20 years ago

FagashJackie · 15/04/2020 04:10

I just said to my dh have to watch slumdog millionaire.

I can hardly remember the show, but isn't Michael Sheen good as Chris Tarrant? I like to imagine Michael Sheen as the most annoying character actor ever.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 15/04/2020 11:02

From what I read it they did start to after the Craig David question that tipped them off. From not knowing who he was to changing his mind and suddenly getting the answer right. Then guess the behaviour pattern followed from that.

Applejaxx · 15/04/2020 11:05

I have a family member who tried for years to get on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, they never got close despite being a general knowledge buff.

grafittiartist · 15/04/2020 11:13

I thought of you all at that moment!!

Really enjoying this program.

HollowTalk · 15/04/2020 11:20

I loved it, particularly the second episode. Love Fleabag's sister as Diana. She was so much cleverer than her husband; she looked mortified by his lack of knowledge.

I didn't think it would be allowed that the fastest finger first group would be allowed to whisper to each other - they're not in a separate room, so why was that allowed?

Didn't anyone else think Charles was doing something (cheating-wise) with his hand on his ear?

Disquieted1 · 15/04/2020 11:25

I can't believe that they never actually aired the episode. I feel certain that I've seen it.

ACupOfCoffee · 15/04/2020 11:29

I can't believe that they never actually aired the episode. I feel certain that I've seen it.

Apparently the full episode was aired after the trial had concluded, as part of a documentary about the case.

chomalungma · 15/04/2020 11:31

I am surprised at the idea of a group called the syndicate.
Was this done vie early internet? So chat groups.

If 100 people get called back, then the chances of getting a call back must be very low.

I am proud that I knew the Million pound question. I wouldn't have got there though.

I really want to see the episode though and to see his reaction - a psychologist would have a field day analysing his behaviour.

HollowTalk · 15/04/2020 11:31

I'm assuming that Charles sticks to the script of the actual programme - it does stick out a mile that he doesn't work anything out. I've seen educated guesses on there and have thought how clever some of the contestants are. He's basically said "I've never heard of these answers, I haven't a clue, I'll go for this one (silence) or this one (silence) or that one (cough) and oh I'll definitely choose that one!"
