What you are all doing today? It seems so quiet on here. I’m bored, so let me pinch your ideas for lockdown fun.

I'm walking my cat.

And I'm not joking.

Skittlesss · 14/04/2020 13:11

Hmm, I don’t have a cat, but that sounds weird anyway. Grin

I am trapped on the couch as DS has decided after weeks of being too cool to sleep on me that I am good to nap on. The TV turned itself off half an hour ago and I don't want to move him to get the remote. DH is cutting the grass and so can't come and save me. Living the dream haha.

DonPablo · 14/04/2020 13:11

Organising my recipe cuttings. I started a thread about it!
Everyone else is folding their bags for life into triangles.

Lipz · 14/04/2020 13:12

Trying to find a room with no noise. Neighbour is having a kids birthday party in the garden and the music is so loud that it is travelling through triple glazing, the gang of kids screaming and screeching isn't helping either.

Bluebooby · 14/04/2020 13:14

I've done a bit of washing up and switched the dishwasher on. Played for about 30 minutes in the garden with DD. We had some races (our garden is teeny tiny), played Simon says and watered some plants. DD asked for more cereal so she's eating that now and watching cartoons. I've had a phone call with a friend. Now I'm looking around the house, wondering what to do with myself. I should sort out my wardrobe but I don't want to. I'm thinking I might have a bath soon, I might get 19 mins alone and then dd will probably jump in with me. That should kill an hour. Maybe I'll blow dry my hair afterwards. I don't really feel like going for a walk today but probably should. Feel a bit blah.

Newyearnewarse · 14/04/2020 13:14

Mostly today I have been eating too much and moving very little.
I also put jeans on for the first time in a week or so and it is not good.

I want to hear about you walking your cat @YesItsMe

MinkowskisButterfly · 14/04/2020 13:15

Trying to get hold of someone from my insurance company as I have had a phone call and not sure if it is a scam (had a no fault accident end of feb), don't want to get my hopes up that it is now sorted as this would be so helpful right now.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 14/04/2020 13:15

He has a medical condition so it's the only way he can have outdoor exercise.

It's a bit weird, but the neighbourhood are used to us now.

19 minutes alone? In my very specific dreams. I meant 10 minutes alone.

DeadBod · 14/04/2020 13:16

I've done an online workout and then braved the supermarket. The queue to get in was quite lengthy but it moved quickly and I was inside within 10 minutes. I've done 2 washes and it's all outside drying.
I've now peaked and got bugger all else to do. I should have spread it all out to last the day.

Bluebooby · 14/04/2020 13:18

yes my cat comes for walks with me but she just follows along behind. I'd love to try a lead but I can't imagine she'd take it very well.

MoonBlood · 14/04/2020 13:19

I didn’t get much sleep last night so I’ve done some laundry and put it on the line and played with DD (2) outside for a bit. I’m sat on the sofa now after eating a huge bowl of fruit cocktail and evaporated milk (pregnancy craving) and watching frozen for the millionth time trying to keep my eyes open!

ClientQ · 14/04/2020 13:21

I've hoovered everywhere including under the bed and the bathrooms. Polished everything glass and steel. Washed up. Done a load of laundry. Hoovered the entire sofa including individual cushions Hmm

We are in the garden

Yes , he is gorgeous . My cat follows us for a bit when we go out but then gets bored and wanders off.

I might try and get some conversation out of my teens in a minute. That should be good for a laugh .

And just in case I haven't eaten enough I might go and make cheese scones.

fartyface · 14/04/2020 13:22

I love this thread. I'm drinking tea on the sofa ostensibly reading but really preparing for a sleep. Kids are about to have a virtual piano lesson. Later I might do some more painting outside or sewing

Newyearnewarse · 14/04/2020 13:24

That looks fun @MummyGoingItAlone

YewandOak · 14/04/2020 13:24

I'm watching the grass growing

YesItsMeIDontCare · 14/04/2020 13:26

@MummyGoingItAlone - that second picture reminds me of DS when he was that age. Enjoy it while you can!!!

Easilyanxious · 14/04/2020 13:27

Trying to clean yellow grout on bathroom tiles

MummyGoingItAlone · 14/04/2020 13:28

Oh he LOVES digging and anything messy!

GalactiCat · 14/04/2020 13:30

I am going around the house and putting everything dumped in the wrong place back in the right place. It's very satisfying!

recklessruby · 14/04/2020 13:32

Took dd (keyworker) to work at 8 then had breakfast and watched an old episode of Survivors.
Went for a walk to get bread then did washing up and hung out washing.
Now chatting to my cat in the garden with a mug of cappuccino trying to ignore the virus news on my phone.

Newyearnewarse · 14/04/2020 13:33

@Easilyanxious Have you used cilit bang black mould remover?

I used it on my yellowing grout and it was magic. I had tried all sorts of things.
