To leave chocolate outside overnight

DS is 3 so this is the first year I've done a proper egg hunt. I've just been out hiding 20 (small) chocolate eggs in the garden. Then on the way in I had the thought that I might attract rats or something by leaving food out.

Do I need to get them back in and re-hide first thing tomorrow?

Eggs have all been re-hid and found, including 2 that DH missed last night. They appear to be fine (foil undamaged) so maybe it would have been ok to leave them out.

Oh well, better safe than sorry.

I put clues out last night for each of my three DC (older than yours - 17, 15 and 11). The eggs themselves are hidden in the house which I did after they went to bed. The only clue I'm worried about is in the freezer...not sure if DD will be able to read it
