Disgusting behavior in swimming pool changing rooms!

Returned to the U.K. a few months ago and took the kids swimming to an indoor water park with a ‘changing village’.

The facilities were not sex separated and everyone goes into cubicles to change. And that is when things got nasty.

Instead of having a decent shower and getting clean before entering the pool people just stood under a shower IN THEIR SWIMWEAR for a few seconds. No attempt made to wash sweaty bum cracks or armpits. Most women did not even bother to wet their hair!

How horrible to swim in a soup of shit, smeg, sweat, hairspray and toe-jam. This also meant the amount of chlorine in the water was insane, burned my eyes and I nearly crashed the car on the way home!

Who thinks this is a good way to do things???

banivani I don't agree. I would judge you if you started lathering up your bits in full view of everyone and would think gross🤢 is this person only showering now for the first time in days?!
If you have a daily shower in the privacy of your own home you don't need to be l0etting it all hang out poolside Grin

Maybe people prefer to shower at home afterwards in private. I certainly do. Dont do communal showering. All my clothes get washed when home too..

Well no one's doing that, you face the wall when you're washing yourself so not in full view of anyone. Bum to the wall when you wash your bum.

I know it sounds really weird, and it was very weird and uncomfortable to me at first, but you get used to it and then you don't think anything of it.

Haha imagine washing your bum in front of strangers. Grin

Swimming pools are filthy. Last Time I got in one I saw floating plasters and kids with huge streams of snot down their faces 《shudder》
Your shower wouldn't have helped with either of them.

When I used to take the kids to weekly swimming lessons there would be a guy washing his arse/crack and genitalia underneath this swimming trunks as the pool cleared of public swimmers. It didn't seem like he was doing it for titillation, but the bemused looks went both ways. The parents looking at him thinking "WTF are you doing?" and him back at us with a "what's your problem?". We thought that perhaps he didn't have washing facilities at home or was homeless but perhaps it was cultural after all (mind you it was after the swim, not before).

The worst experience ever was the woman who pulled her toddlers pull up nappy full of shit down and, as he stepped out of it, booted it under the dividing wall of her changing cubicle into ours. Now I could see their feet so I'm sure as hell she could see ours. A wrapped up nappy of shit is bad enough but this was an open, just unoccupied nappy with a massive turd in it. I booted it back her way with a polite but firm "no thank you"!

As Natsku says - you don’t make an exhibition of yourself, you just wash. But I do think that the showers could be more private, I think more people would wash then.

If you can smell chlorine on your skin when you get out it’s apparently a sign you weren’t clean enough getting in. Well all have to put it to the test!
