BuffaloCauliflower · 07/04/2020 11:36

Yes it’s ridiculous. Once was enough

losingmymindiam · 07/04/2020 11:36

Agree

NoMorePoliticsPlease · 07/04/2020 11:37

Yes, ridiculous. Lets all not do it

TwoMuchTwoYoung · 07/04/2020 11:37

Yes it’s too much, over the top, virtue signalling nonsense.

clappedout123 · 07/04/2020 11:38

God I'm glad I'm not the only one!! Grin

Yes 100% but last thread I said that I was told I am obviously a tory loving, NHS hating weirdo Confused

SilverBangle · 07/04/2020 11:42

A nationwide clap to show our collective appreciation to the NHS and its workers - great 👏👏👏

Clapping for kids, Boris etc is bloody ridiculous. Very soon we’ll be clapping for those who flout the rules because they are too big and hard to contract Covid 19 🙄

Pinkblueberry · 07/04/2020 11:45

I agree. Once was nice and meaningful... now it’s quickly become faddy and just another stick for the self righteous holier than thous to beat people with if they dare to forget or choose not to...

DappledThings · 07/04/2020 11:46

I've only just heard about clapping for Boris. Absolutely fucking ridiculous. I can't believe that hasn't been created as a spoof.

Whoareyoudududu · 07/04/2020 11:46

YANBU, it’s utterly ridiculous.

LemonSqueezy0 · 07/04/2020 11:48

I think clap if you want to, don't if you don't... But I also think don't police people that don't clap, as if it makes you a better person... I don't clap but feel secure in my voting track record and am Very grateful to the NHS.

x2boys · 07/04/2020 11:48

I also think the threads about clapping are getting out of hand tbh...

saleorbouy · 07/04/2020 11:49

It's the biggest load of BS ever..... I'm clapped out!

AgnesNaismith · 07/04/2020 11:51

YANBU

justanotherneighinparadise · 07/04/2020 11:51

I know nothing of this as I decided to back away from Facebook. It’s been quite pleasant. I can recommend.

Skeletoninatutu · 07/04/2020 11:56

View from afar - its a lot of clapping... I mean I get the gesture but I just cringe at all those poor shift workers trying to sleep through it all...

TwentyViginti · 07/04/2020 11:58

Do what now? Where did clap for Boris come from?

MabelBee · 07/04/2020 12:01

And 7pm doorstep dancing while blasting out S Club 7 in my neighbourhood.

ErrolTheDragon · 07/04/2020 12:02

I quite like the meme about clapping for delivery drivers - any time between 9am to 6 pmGrin

(They're doing a great job round here, we call out sincere thanks to them when they're off our driveway)

User7764217 · 07/04/2020 12:03

My hands are already raw from washing the top so often, I have nothing left to clap with 😅

Pinkblueberry · 07/04/2020 12:07

Although it’s a nice gesture I think there’s way too many people out there who are ultimately just clapping themselves for clapping more than anything else Hmm

LR33 · 07/04/2020 12:26

We do it every night in Spain.

SpeckledFrogsLog · 07/04/2020 13:00

I’ve lost track of who I’m supposed to clap for and when. I reckon if I stand outside and clap every night at 8, I’ll cover it all!

PinkiOcelot · 07/04/2020 13:29

YANBU. It’s bordering on the ridiculous now.

I haven’t clapped at all. I think the first time for the NHS fair enough, but every week? No. Please stop.
