Right so I'll preface this with it's my night off I can't sleep so I thought I would listen to 'let's not meet' do not listen to this podcast when alone at night! and god the stories have creeped me the fuck out.

My own story is that I once met a coworker on his first day. Something about him just made my blood run cold, I didn't want to be around him and I absolutely didn't want to work late alone with him.

6 years later he was in the news for being a serial rapist.

Mega creep.

Share your 'no this person is bad I cannot be near them' stories

Also my dog is an amazing judge of character if he doesn't like something or someone there's a reason

@springydaff I have had the same thing re sleepovers and one of dds friends! It was actually dh who first raised concerns- he came back from dropping dd at a new friends house and said ‘dd is never having a sleepover there, newfriends dad is seriously weird’. I scoffed a bit and told him not to be so judgy of someone on first appearance ( this was years ago and after reading Gift of Fear I would not react like that now). Anyway, fast fwd a few hours, I went to collect dd and as soon as I saw the dad I went ‘nope, no sleepovers here ever.’ Can’t describe the feeling, just an instant ‘no way’. Have since had other parents volunteer same feelings about the guy.

@Lumierecandle - I am reasonably certain that the daughter was “unreliable” because she had MH problems from being abused herself as a child. I’ll bet mum facilitated and minimized it. Maybe the little girl wasn’t just his GD either. He sounded just the sort of controlling bastard to get off on being the father of his own GD as well.
