He has been drinking every day .. from the morning

So many times lost his job .. and lied and pretended to go to ‘work’.. got us MASSIVELY into debt

Now saying he has to go on the tube tomorrow to ‘pick up a screen’ .. new job .. he’s meant to be self employed as a ‘contractor’ but no signs of money ... very suspicious

And he is saying that going on ten stops on a busy tube then another x amount of stops on another tube is ‘essential’ ? Is he being an arse? He just drinks vodka and we aren’t paying bills or anything. He has no friends and falls out with everyone by the way

Why have you not gotten rid of him? He clearly adds no value to your life. Let him go and then change the locks behind him.

Q2 is who chooses to transport a "screen" of whatever size on the tube?
I would be very doubtful if I were you.

Because the only alternative is to give up my rescue dog , and take my dc to a hostel

What kind of contractor is he (supposed) to be?

Since he's going to the City I'm assuming something in financial services/an office?

All the offices in the City I know of are closed now...they would courier a screen out not have it picked up...also he would have to have a work laptop?

He’s saying that his boss in HK is saying that unless he picks up his ‘screen’ and various belongings from said office then the boss will still have to pay for the office rent.. but if he picks up said ‘screen’ then no tent to pay

Honestly this seems unlikely to me:

• All the offices I know of in Canary Wharf are closed due to the pandemic

• For a new starter they would have IT equipment couriered out to them at the moment

• He would only need a computer screen if he already had a work laptop...does he?

• It's highly unlikely he has a new job right now, the market is totally dead. Even those of us with decades of experience and no alcohol or interpersonal issues can't get a contract so that seems suspicious to me taken in context

His parents lent us the deposit but I had to sign documents that deposit was in his name not mine

The whole story seems odd to me.

If you are in the same house can you not easily know whether he's working or not? He would be on lots of video conferences if he was working at the moment...

It sounds odd because he’s never told the truth. For six months in 2017 he pretended to go to work has done the same two times since

He says he doesn’t work for a company that he’s self employed .. but no warnings at all! He then called me ‘thick’ saying you had to wait until the first day Of the month to issue an ‘invoice’ and the invoice takes 14 days to go through

He disappears every day with our dog .. litres of vodka and drinking it .. cones back being nasty and horrific

Change the locks while he’s out, fuck him.

He makes random phone calls (says they’re ‘conference calls’) but when I’m doing stuff in house I see him quickly turn page off on screen and he was looking at the DM (the very same website he rips me to shreds for reading!)
