SharonasCorona · 04/04/2020 23:05

Not interested, sorry. If you were in India, yes.

WeakAndWeary · 04/04/2020 23:07

What 😳

Ok. So errr - is it warm in Portugal?

GoFiguire · 04/04/2020 23:07

I’m in my sitting room. AMA.

lubeybooby · 04/04/2020 23:08

What are the rules/guidelines you've been given? How strict?

FaFoutis · 04/04/2020 23:08

Aren't most of us on some sort of lockdown?

Outtedagain · 04/04/2020 23:08

What is AMA

FaFoutis · 04/04/2020 23:09

ask me anything

fotofoto · 04/04/2020 23:11

What colour are your curtains?

elQuintoConyo · 04/04/2020 23:11

Are you allowed it to exercise?

I'm next door in Spain, we're totally locked down.

Is there big roll? Rice? Are you downing port? Grin

Confusedasusual78 · 04/04/2020 23:12

We are but thought might be interesting to compare, there are differences between most countries.

@SharonasCorona
Ok 😳

OP posts:
FaFoutis · 04/04/2020 23:14

Do you have clapping for cats? etc.

Confusedasusual78 · 04/04/2020 23:14

@lubeybooby Similar as in only really allowed out to pharmacy, food shop, work if you can’t from home and short exercise. Not as strict as Spain, France etc, no peemission slips needed to be signed..but different to the uk as nearly every person working together and complying for the greater good 👏All pretty calm and sensible.

Confusedasusual78 · 04/04/2020 23:15

*Permission slips

Namechangedforthisreply7 · 04/04/2020 23:16

Errr different to UK how? I think we are doing pretty bloody well here thanks.

Confusedasusual78 · 04/04/2020 23:18

@elQuintoConyo 😂No shortages of food and regular simple shopping as less as we can.
No Porto but downing lots of Caiprinhas this last few weeks 🍸😁
We can go locally to walk the dog, get air etc. They’re not super strict as of yet as people just doing it and not pissing about in general.

Are things getting any better there? 🙏

OP posts:
Confusedasusual78 · 04/04/2020 23:19

@Namechangedforthisreply7 My friends and family there tell me there were lots of people out at parks, bbqs etc, plus it’s on the news here lots 🤷‍♀️

Your figures look quite good, when did you go into lockdown?

www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/portugal/

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 04/04/2020 23:20

I have to agree with namechange

The vast majority of us are complying

There are fucking idiots everywhere..even portugal

Love portugal, love the sardine pate!

Barbararara · 04/04/2020 23:23

Is there any organised help available for elderly people isolating there? I have relatives living there who just cheerfully recounted their adventures out shopping. Here in Ireland there’s various ways of getting extra help (the postman checks in and lots of local GAA clubs are helping to deliver shopping) but they don’t speak Portuguese so they could be missing out on what’s available.

Confusedasusual78 · 04/04/2020 23:23

@RufustheLanglovingreindeer Oh for sure 👌everyone I know personally in the uk is, initially there were issues in the North with holiday makers heading to the south to go on beaches. That was stopped pretty quickly and most beaches closed off for now.

Soozikinzii · 04/04/2020 23:24

Yes agree vast majority are complying the newspapers just dwell on the few who don't. There were a few bikers in Hyde park so it was shut .

Confusedasusual78 · 04/04/2020 23:24

@justasking111 I’d say three weeks ago, people started to do it themselves, then shit got serious pretty quick and a state of emergency was called soon after.

Confusedasusual78 · 04/04/2020 23:28

@Barbararara There’s various charities and groups set up to help the most vulnerable and lots of food collections etc as it’s a poorer place and many people having fallen on hard times quickly and can’t afford to eat or buy baby supplies sadly 😢
They started the supermarket shopping system early on, where the elderly and vulnerable have the first shopping hours and I think they most likely qualify for food deliveries as a priority too.
