different to the uk as nearly every person working together and complying for the greater good

In my experience, it's the same in the UK too. Don't listen to so much fake news.

As an example: www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-52155029

Tell me more about caiprinhas. Are they similar to mojitos? (Possibly misses point of the AMA)

cologne4711 · 05/04/2020 17:32

A lot of people are really angry as floghts are still allowed in from the uk etc

Those will be Portuguese people returning home, especially from Jersey (though I think the majority of the Portuguese in Jersey are from Madeira and may well be long term residents/born there). However, it would make sense that some might be heading to Portugal so they could care for relatives there.

Nobody from the UK is going on holiday to Portugal because it would breach the UK lockdown, never mind the Portuguese one.

Confusedasusual78 · 05/04/2020 18:44

@cologne4711 There are still people arriving here on holiday, via airports, driving through routes missing the police etc.
Most of the things I’d seen weren’t fake news, it was on the uk and European news channels, via friends and many posts on here! 🤷‍♀️

@katscamel That’s tough with the curfew, I’m hoping we don’t head in that direction as the supermarkets already take around 1.5 hrs to even get into with the spaced queuing outside etc. To fit it in for everyone with a cut off time would be challenging.

@user1495884620 Ha ha, they’re very good, made with lime, sugar, cachaca, I actually prefer Caprioscas, made with vodka instead with lots of ice, but there’s been a shortage of vodka each time I’ve looked 😂

@Changednamesorry No idea! Most people great, but you always get some twats on here that jump on people straightaway, as if we’re not all feeling crappy enough at this time anyway.

@Confusedasusual78 I have a villa holiday booked in the algarve for end April and the agent is insistent they're open for business. Is this true, are they allowed to be open? I just want them to cancel so they're forced to refund..

Confusedasusual78 · 06/04/2020 18:58

@justsotiredtired I’m not sure of the official law? They shouldn’t be going ahead with anything! Nothing is open here, even most beaches are shut, it would be pointless but this sounds like they still want their money?
Many holiday makers driving from the North to the South have been stopped by police waiting on the roads and have had to turn back and we’re being told to call the police of people arrive for holidays, from that point of view it seems holidays aren’t allowed?

My parents were due to come out towards the end of this month and their flights have been cancelled. They also booked for July for my dd’s birthday, no cancellations, but I don’t hold out much hope sadly.
