...now we are in lockdown and since COVID19?

I will start... I keep having recurring dreams about tornadoes. I can see one coming from miles away and destroying everything in sight. It finally reaches my house and everything is shaking and blowing around- it's terrifying! Then it's gone, and there is no damage at all.
I've had this dream at least 4 times this week that I can remember.

Anyone else channeling their inner feelings into some weird dream?

Yes! I'm very aware that I've had weird dreams when I wake but I can't really remember them. I did do a pub crawl in one though and I rarely go to pubs.

BlackNoir · 03/04/2020 20:12

Yes, either a tsunami or that I'm being chased and I'm trying to carry my DC to safety.

I don't think I need Freud to interpret them. Sad

Hugsgalore · 03/04/2020 20:12

Yes. Me too. I remember having weird dreams but cannot remember the details. They are very real and vivid.

undercoveraessedai · 03/04/2020 20:12

I always have weird vivid dreams, but I've had one about being trapped in a submarine a few times since lockdown started, plus my recurring one about exams. Not pleasant!

MissDollyMix · 03/04/2020 20:13

I’m just dreaming about mundane stuff. Last night I woke up in the middle of a dream that I was at the pet shop browsing for a new bed for ddog. I felt a bit sad when I came to and realised it will be a long time before we can just mooch around shops again.

TerrorWig · 03/04/2020 20:13

Yes.

I was dreaming a LOT about DanTDM last night. Not those types of dreams! Grin

The other night I dreamt about an ex boyfriend. Haven’t thought about him in years, but we didn’t part under particularly good circumstances. Also in that dream were former friends Confused

I do tend to have bizarre dreams in general but these two weirded me out!

Betty1233 · 03/04/2020 20:13

Me!

Heismyopendoor · 03/04/2020 20:13

My dreams are always a bit strange! Quite often my dreams come true, I know it’s a bit woo lol.

Last night my dream was that I was waiting for my c section (I’m not pregnant!!) and the hospital took me away to another as their tech had been hacked and they made me take the bus 😂 hopefully that one doesn’t come true lol

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 03/04/2020 20:13

Me! Altogether weirdly, as someone who dreams every night and remembers all the details, I don't remember any the next day. I'm sleeping very deeply though.

Windyatthebeach · 03/04/2020 20:14

Last night I had the most real dream I met God.
I am not even in the slightest bit a believer.. Woke up in a sweat!!.

DramaAlpaca · 03/04/2020 20:14

Yes, weird scary ones. I'm very calm on the outside but it's all coming out in my dreams.

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe · 03/04/2020 20:15

not dreams as such but not being able to go to sleep...my anxiety levels shoot at about 11pm and I go to bed and have to get up again,,I am generally okin the day but at night its so crazy...I tried again at 3,30 am and managed to drift off after a while...I dont feel safe in bed almost its bizzare .

ihatethecold · 03/04/2020 20:17

I keep dreaming about my eldest sons dad who died in January. We split many years ago and we were friends.
I am hugging him like a child and he looks like he did 25 years ago when we were together.
I’m also dreaming about my gran who dies last year.

I know it’s my unconscious bringing up my fear of death at the moment.

I’m
Scared of getting the virus with my asthma and dying.

NotNegan · 03/04/2020 20:18

All my dreams are about the virus. I can't escape it, even when I'm asleep.

I'm friggin' exhausted!

Krazykitty · 03/04/2020 20:18

I dreamt about Harry Styles last night, that my sister was dating him and I was really jealous 🤷‍♀️ This was so random. I like his music but he’s far too young for me that I don’t really see him in that way.

Purpleorangegerberas · 03/04/2020 20:21

I’m having a lot of very vivid dreams at the moment too! No scary ones though just pleasant ones. It’s quite nice actually.

Nuffaluff · 03/04/2020 20:22

LOADS
Zombies obviously. Needed to get my DH and two DS out of there because the zombies were coming. They were just sitting around having a chat. Then I needed to use my 5 year olds pokemon cards to defeat the zombies and he was not happy.
One of being stuck far out in a harbour in the water with a life jacket on, clinging to a buoy.
Right near the start of this one of watching a horrible car crash in slow motion and feeling conflicted about whether to go and help or back away up a slope. And feeling horribly guilty.
The worst of all was just one of being told by people I know what a horrible, despicable person I am. I’m not, I’m alright.

AgileMadness · 03/04/2020 20:23

For me, it's the opposite.
I wake up and semi consciously want to tell Dh about the craziest dream I just had where a highly contagious virus spread across the world and it was just like in the movies.

Then I wake up fully and realise it hasn't been a dream and it's real life Confused.
It's happened every day for the past 2 weeks.
You'll think by now my subconscious should get it.

TW2013 · 03/04/2020 20:23

I was having a discussion with dc's teacher about the coronavirus, except it was the teacher due to teach them next year. It is weird because dreams are the only time I am close to someone not in my family.

TwilightPeace · 03/04/2020 20:23

I’m having lots of weird dreams. Some bad ones about being chased, a big theme is trying to escape.
I haven’t had a single good dream since all this started!

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 03/04/2020 20:25

I am having weirdly boring dreams about stonkingly dull topics.

I quite often remember my dreams but lately they have been a right yawn fest.

ListenLinda · 03/04/2020 20:25

Yes. Last night I dreamt that me and DH and the kids were in my old workplace on the top floor, I was looking out of the window and wild beasts were roaming outside killing everyone outside. The beats got inside and we were locked in a room and ordered not to leave until it was safe. My dream self remembers thinking i’m glad we all managed to get in the room together.

I did wake up a bit shook up at that I must admit.

NaviSprite · 03/04/2020 20:26

I dream pretty vivid weird dreams at the best of times but part of last nights dream was that I (for some unexplained reason) was invited to some kind of high court with the Queen and again, unbenknownst to me until I got there, I was invited to sit beside her - which was impossible because my fat arse wouldn’t fit in the weirdly slim chair I had been offered. For some bizarre reason my legs also looked much nicer than they ever have IRL and I kept noticing that too... I have no idea what spurred this particular one on but it was funny to my DH when I told him this morning (also the Queen looked more like she did in the 1950’s rather than how she looks presently). It made a nice break from my much weirder/darker dreams though I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

DeborahAnnabelToo · 03/04/2020 20:26

Last night I was a small, one-legged Victorian boy who was apprenticed to make firearms Confused

AGnu · 03/04/2020 20:29

I woke up this morning feeling more tired than when I went to bed! At one point there was a wedding going on but I don't remember much about that one.

In another dream there were children who were supposed to have parental supervision in a large house that had been converted into various play spaces but most of the parents weren't there. There was, however, a "reticulated crocodile" so the daughter of the owner told me that was hanging out next to the play kitchen, surrounded by soft toys. I, and the few other parents who were there, ushered the children upstairs but they kept wandering off or I'd discover another child I didn't know was there. I had a big argument with an 8yo boy who insisted he was going to carry on playing while I repeatedly yelled "There is a CROCODILE. It is going to EAT YOU." at him. He was unfazed by this. Then I called the police & got through to a very unhelpful call handler who seemed confused that anyone should call her asking for the police... Eventually they sent helicopters & various vehicles to rescue us which I felt was an entirely proportionate response to a crocodile that hadn't even moved once. We all trouped down the stairs & out of the front door when our rescuers arrived...

Then there was something to do with hanging out in a basement corridor of a hospital with my mother & discussing what to eat for dinner while wearing full surgical scrubs/masks... Neither of us are surgeons & I wasn't aware that we were planning to do surgery on anyone, it was just what we were wearing.

DH, OTOH, rarely remembers any dreams & had a lovely sleep. Envy
