...now we are in lockdown and since COVID19?

I will start... I keep having recurring dreams about tornadoes. I can see one coming from miles away and destroying everything in sight. It finally reaches my house and everything is shaking and blowing around- it's terrifying! Then it's gone, and there is no damage at all.
I've had this dream at least 4 times this week that I can remember.

Anyone else channeling their inner feelings into some weird dream?

I dreamt weird dreams last night I can't put them into words but I can see them. But mostly we are both sleeping so deeply - we are barely able to wake up in time for online meetings etc. What's that all about? It's like we've returned to the pre- industrial revolution age - I quite like it.

I had a dream that there was a baby deer in my living room.

purrswhileheeats · 03/04/2020 20:39

Lol at Harry Styles Grin

This morning I was woken up by the sound of a gas canister being thrown through my window; it was so loud and vivid and made the whole house shake. I actually ran downstairs and outside in my pyjamas in a panic looking for an intruder but of course, there was no-one there Blush

Last night I had a nightmare that a 30ft tall Vigo the Carpathian (from Ghostbusters 2) was terrorising our town.

I ended up stuck on top of a skyscraper and had to duct tape DS2 to my back so we could climb down this huge ladder.

It was very real and very frightening.

Furrydogmum · 03/04/2020 20:42

Yes! Death, kidnap, turmoil and confusion abound in my unconscious mind 😒

flumposie · 03/04/2020 20:43

Finding it difficult to get to sleep. And when I do my dreams are vivid. Most disturbing one being about a beheaded cat in my kitchen. Just awful as my own cat died last year. Thankfully it wasn't him in the dream.

Breathmiller · 03/04/2020 20:45

Yip. So many dreams here.

I used to suffer terribly from nightmares and night terrors where I would be trying to wake up but couldn't. I would be screaming silently sometimes.

I have started them again.
I'm aware that I am dreaming and sometimes they wake me up but not always. My husband says I'm talking and upset and asking questions through the night and he has to reassure me.

Mostly about my mum who hasn't been well and been moved from a hospital to a nursing home. Then about the kids.

I feel sorry for him, I think he's exhausted from being woken up and trying to soothe me.

Havent had them for nearly 15 years.

ssd · 03/04/2020 20:46

Me too. Woke up twice this week with a sore head, think I've been grinding my teeth. Am stressed and anxious. And worrying about dcs and how they are dealing with this. And their futures. Not worried about me, just about them.

TigerDroveAgain · 03/04/2020 20:46

I dreamt about a pub crawl too. It was lovely

MadisonAvenue · 03/04/2020 20:52

I rarely remember having a dream but the night before last me and my son were in a small room with a load of former Man Utd players, last night I had a sachet of instant candy floss (what the hell??) which I tipped onto a path in the woods behind our house while walking my dog and made a huge amount of candy floss.

ilovepixie · 03/04/2020 20:54

Last night, I dreamt that I was in an unfamiliar house. There had been a party and after it ended I was responsible for turning off all the lights and locking all the doors. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't do it. When I woke up, I straightaway knew it was linked to feeling insecure and unsafe. Really need a decent night's sleep!

EasyTarget · 03/04/2020 20:57

I'm having weird vivid dreams.
Last night it was with members of my family that I haven't spoke to in years.
Weirdly I am sleeping better though. Insomnia has stopped.

QuestionableMouse · 03/04/2020 21:00

Anxiety gives me horrific dreams. Luckily I'm crippled with insomnia right now so... 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🙄🙄

statetrooperstacey · 03/04/2020 21:03

Yes me to and it’s ‘a thing’ . It’s to do with us having a great deal more REM sleep than we usually do, and we’re not used to it and we are more likely to actually remember our dreams than previously, and it’s to do with being confined. There is a science behind it.

OstrichRunning · 03/04/2020 21:04

Some of these are great!

I'm definitely having weird dreams. The most recent was I was reading Ulysses Confused And was amazed and delighted with myself to find it was easy. Then I realised I was reading an abridged, children's version with pictures. Grin But I decided in the dream that that was still pretty good!

Crazyhouse123 · 03/04/2020 21:05

Lol I expected to come on this thread and find it was about Stephen King's The Stand!

One of my favourite books I was re-reading it over Christmas.

Phoenix76 · 03/04/2020 23:08

I have to put my hand up to this. I love my job but have been put on furlough (completely understand why of course) and I miss it. Last night I dreamt I was back at work but I was wondering why as I knew I had been furloughed. One of our suppliers arrived for a meeting and I was annoyed as we were practicing safe distancing but he embraced me (making me even more annoyed 😂). I noticed he had a hole in his head and I knew that was a sign he had the virus (I know this isn’t a rl symptom btw!) and I went in a massive panic knowing I must have caught it. It was so bizarre and I woke in a panic. I think our sub conscious is just trying to process this horrible situation.

OhHuck · 03/04/2020 23:12

I had a very disturbing dream about Donald Trump the other night. But I'm not sure if its due to the lockdown or pregnancy.

waterlego · 03/04/2020 23:13

Only one so far. Last night I dreamt that I was in a house I didn’t recognise with my mum, who died 6 years ago. She was really cross with me about the house not being very clean. This was odd, firstly because the house was clean, and secondly because my mum was a lovely person who didn’t get cross about stuff like housework. Whereas I am quite an anxious person and dirt and mess around the house is one of the things I fixate on when I am particularly anxious.

So it was like my mum was behaving like me in the dream. It was sad because I usually love seeing my mum in dreams, because I miss her obviously, but I woke from this one feeling somehow rejected and sad.

PancakesAndSyrup · 03/04/2020 23:13

I've been having really strange dreams lately. The other night I had a dream that my dh spilled lemonade all over our new sofa and it caused the sofa to set on fire Confused

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 03/04/2020 23:17

Glad it's not just me.

Had one dream that someone dumped a dead dog on my lawn and another one that I was a carrier of the coronavirus and have been going round infecting everyone for weeks.

How odd that lots of people are having bad dreams.

minionsrule · 03/04/2020 23:19

I've had a few weird dreams recently.
In one i had to get rid of a dead body, wrapped it up and took it to the tip early one morning, took it out my car, climbed the steps to the skip and threw it in, only to find the wrapping had half come off and there was nothing else in the skip just the body.

Just then another car came in so i rushed out before they saw it and clocked my reg number.
I drove past later to see if the police were there but they weren't and the skip was half full so i reckon i got away with it.
No idea who the body was!

BloomedAgain · 03/04/2020 23:19

Wish I could train myself to have really nice dreams as a break from all this.
