(started from that now deleted thread)

As previously detailed, gathering dust in my house is the spiraliser, the diet milkshake drink shaker... at one point we had three separate keyboards.

I now have a vegetable box staring at me balefully....

Anyone else?

Slow cooker. Chocolate fountain.

GlamGiraffe · 01/04/2020 19:20

@Justsaynonow he has the oven on really hot for ages. He tried it on 230 and it was too hot so has been starting it on tha then turning down to 200 for the result of the time. His first was soihlghyly dry dk it's probably finding put in your oven bit it's a couple of hours is too cook

CigarsofthePharoahs · 01/04/2020 19:22

Oh the bread maker.
I also gave up using it to bake the bread and just used it to knead and prove. Except it was terrible at kneading and my Kenwood chef did a better job so it sat in a cupboard for years. Charity shopped it recently, damn if I'd known they'd be going for £££ on eBay right now...
The spiralizer. Used once. Well I liked the courgetti, but nobody else did. Gits. Anyone want to do an exchange?

nsav · 01/04/2020 19:41

My £300 fairfax and favor boots :( they’re long boots so currently sit under my bed until we move. We’re on lockdown now so no idea when I’ll wear them again haha!

Rollerbird · 01/04/2020 19:44

A handheld steam cleaner

NoNeedToBeRudeDear · 01/04/2020 19:47

@nsav Can I have them please? I covet a pair so badly but totally out of my price range.

My biggest regret purchase are my twins cot beds. Never slept in.

thereisfreedomwithin · 01/04/2020 19:48

Cross Country skis

thebearwentoverthebumble · 01/04/2020 19:49

Moon Cup. Hate pulling it out, it feels so wrong.

Thisisworsethananticpated · 01/04/2020 19:54

I love the air fryer ! It’s perfect for both oven cooked food (nuggets , oven chips) and makes them crispier
Also really nice roasted veg
Vege sausages
I could not live without mine now o

UnderCaffeinated · 01/04/2020 20:30

Spiralizer over here too, pointless thing used a few times and that's.

A mini chopper that you like, push down to chop onions and garlic, great theory that DOES. NOT. WORK.

At home rowing machine, why I thought this machine for less than £100 would be anything like the one in the gym I have no idea.

I do use my slow cooker a few times a week though, it's one of the ones that the insert can go onto the hob so I can brown things in it and then put it in, come home from work to an amazing chilli/bolognese but I don't like a whole chicken from it. I also do use my toastie machine all the time, its a one with a waffle iron (sometimes used) and deep fill plates/panini plates so they're removable and easy to clean.

I do love the airfryer whenever I use it (my mum gave me it as she never used it) but I never really use it! We don't eat a lot of potatoes as we're more pasta/rice people.

JaceLancs · 01/04/2020 20:34

Sewing machine

scaryreading · 01/04/2020 20:36

Stupid massage thing. Sits in corner

MonaLisaDoesntSmile · 01/04/2020 20:49

Spiraliser, courgette noodles haven't quite become a hit in our household.

scaryreading · 01/04/2020 20:57

I also bought a babyliss laser hair machine but used it once. I ought to try again but can't be bothered. Couldn't see as you are meant to wear those glasses and I'm short sighted so need to see with glasses itms

Thecurtainsofdestiny · 01/04/2020 21:25

Pasta maker (never used).

Reusable sanpro (periods stopped).

Shoes that look good but are not comfy (I should know by now that I don't prioritise fashion over comfort!).

PaulinePetrovaPosey · 01/04/2020 21:40

For those of you saying you never use tostie makers... you've clearly never tried a mars bar tostie.

Justsaynonow · 01/04/2020 21:50

@glamgiraffe Thanks - will try. I usually cook bread on a sheet or in an open pan at 350F (177C) for 30 min...so we'll see what happens. I need a distraction for DD2 who's missing her BF Sad

I'm realizing how many things are sitting downstairs. Haven't used the spiralizer in a while but we do use it a lot as no one likes/tolerates real pasta. Also has motivated me to get out the dehydrator to use for the starting-to-soften apples, and I'm about to make ice cream to use up the whipping cream.

Two never used items I just uncovered: DQ blizzard maker & Breville individual pie maker.

MrsBobDylan · 01/04/2020 22:04

I am a veritable angel when it comes to avoiding buying anything for the kitchen/food prep.

But OMFG the money I have wasted on gym memberships, Pilates classes, sportswear and equipment. I am too fucking lazy to ever want to exercise. If I could loose lbs the way I loose £s to exercise fads, I'd be a goddess.

lokoho · 01/04/2020 22:12

I use my spiraliser. I've got the one like a massive pencil sharpener so it doesn't take up loads of space or owt.

But i've also got a pineapple corer and I am really quite ALLERGIC to pineapple. Nobody needs this less. Grin

lilgreen · 01/04/2020 22:15

Steam mop.

Fuckyoumenopause · 01/04/2020 22:25

A contour kit. Tried it once and looked like I'd fallen face first into a puddle Confused

wewillgetthruthis · 01/04/2020 22:32

Kercher window cleaner

MigginsMrs · 01/04/2020 23:23

Oh I love my karcher window vac! Properly love it

flirtygirl · 01/04/2020 23:26

PaulinePetrovaPosey

Wow brilliant idea, I have never thought about a chocolate bar toastie, something to try in lock down.

MinkowskisButterfly · 01/04/2020 23:32

Spirilizer, bought after trying courgetti once, used the spirilizer once. Biggest waste of money.

I have an instant pot, use every week though use mainly the steam function and rice function, barely use the pressure cooker part!
