To think people should not be allowed to edit online food shops?

  1. clogs up the ridiculously busy servers
  2. people are using it to mess the system - eg booking several slots with bread and intending on editing nearer the time

It all feels so unnecessary and if people weren’t allowed to edit beyond the first shop perhaps the online queue wouldn’t be 10000000 long

Carry on editing as it has zero impact on getting a slot because there are none. I've just had a Waitrose delivery, if I hadn't checked it several times to find alternatives for unavailable items, I would have received mostly empty bags.

I’ve used the Tesco delivery service since it was launched about 20 years ago. Even when I was working at the local branch I still had my main shop delivered!

I subscribe so I prepay for deliveries and normally have 1 every week, some times 2. I book them weeks ahead and sometimes I cancel one but I like to know I could have it if I need it. Since this all kicked off I’ve had 4 deliveries booked. All but one was cancelled with 3 hours notice. I am so pissed off by this.
This morning is a good example - when I woke up at 7.30am my delivery was still showing as scheduled for delivery between 12 and 1pm. At 9.10 am they emailed to say they weren’t coming. An entire weeks food for us, my elderly MIL and my mum cancelled. If they had let me know well in advance that they weren’t coming I could make other arrangements but the short notice is very poor service.

I am fine with limited choice, weird substitutions, having to book slots well in advance as well as all the other current restrictions. These are difficult times and we have to compromise but this unreliability is too much.

I have paid my delivery subscription up to April 14th with my last order due on April 11th (if it comes). After that I will cancel my subscription. It means I’ll have to go out to shop which I have been avoiding but at least It will be more in my control.

Trying to do a Tesco shop. Wanted to book for the 18th April .I set my alarm for 11.50 and finally , after having to refresh the page for 30 minutes, got onto the ‘ pick your slot ‘ page . All slots gone for 3 weeks away .
So disappointed.
And yes we are shopping locally as well . But I buy for 3 households , one with 2 key workers and 3 children under 10 , one who is 96 years old and ours, post chemo and post op.
Just pin pointing that when we are told not to go out it’s not as simple as that .
