No children allowed in supermarket

My sister went to Tesco with her toddler and was told no children allowed from next week. Understand this is wise for infection control but what if you're a single parent with tiny kids and can't do online shopping?

yes there's more recent and reliable research than that saying that it's no more detrimental to have one parent than two. I can't link right now. It's inequality that changes outcomes.

Isn’t the biggest factor in positive outcomes for children maternal education and the biggest factor in negative outcomes for children living in poverty? Therefore it is not difficult to see why single income households are at greater risk of problems. It also stands to reason that someone who is educated will have a higher salary, less likely to be on 0 hour contracts etc therefore warding off poverty if they end up single at any point. What is utter,y criminal is that poverty is recognised by this Government (and many, many previous Governments) as crucial in positive child outcomes yet still sod all is done to firstly effectively collect child maintenance and secondly, to make non payment of child maintenance something so utterly socially unacceptable only a tiny minority even consider it.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 3 children under 5 and no family around. No friends live close by either. Cant get a delivery slot. I wouldnt dare take them anywhere cos of the risks so I leave them in car and do a 10 min sprint to get milk, veg and essentials. I leave a spare phone in car on speakerphone and they can see entrance from where I park. I would dare anyone to challenge me for leaving them there ! Its either that or an hour in store with them running around or sitting in a trolley? ( have you tried to get 3 under 5's in a trolley?....😀.....there are more important things.....like people dying...My children are perfectly safe in the back of the car for 10-15mins. I have no choice. Or rather...this is the best choice. I am lucky not to be ill or for my children not to be ill. But what I hate is when they tell you what you cant do without giving you some suggestion as to what you CAN do. How about having an hour a day for single parents to shop, leaving children in car and having someone patrol carpark at a safe distance ? Necessity is the mother of invention. Supermarkets!! Get thinking.
