Hello, my Mum has just rang to say that there is a large group of people in her alley having a BBQ right now!

This really will end up as survival of the fittest wont it. The thickest in society are already showing themselves up. Sad to say they will infect the innocents in the police, shops, NHS etc on their way down.

Lots of people have bbqs and getting drunkery in the alleys near us.
I think it’s just where people live in rooms in houses / flats with no gardens or anywhere to socialise.
It just seems normal to me now.

I also fancy a bbq and fish and chips and all of the other things I cant have atm.

It doesn't really matter. Thanks to all those selfish cunts we are a few hours ( or one or 2 days) away from being told that we are not allowed to get out even once a day for exercice. And forbidden to get out more than once at a time. People are crammed in the tubes, the streets, the parks. What part of stay. The. Fuck. Inside don't people get?

DaphneFanshaw · 24/03/2020 16:43

Oh gosh, how strange Little.

DitheringDoris · 24/03/2020 16:48

Full lockdown soon thanks to selfish fuckers like these. No outside exercise, one member of a household out every couple of days for food and medicines. And it will happen for a lot longer than 3 weeks.
The police will not be able to keep on top of this. We need the army with guns on the streets in troublesome areas, nothing else will get through to these people, they need to be scared into changing their ways.

I don’t see why their nationality is pertinent information.

SoupDragon · 24/03/2020 17:25

If people don't see their nationality as being pertinent, why keep focusing on it instead of the actual issue of the social gathering?

Originalyellowbelly · 24/03/2020 17:26

Maybe, being Romanian, they don't speak English and don't fully understand what they are supposed to be doing.

Gran22 · 24/03/2020 17:27

Irresponsible behaviour. I do wonder however if they may be Roma? Much more likely to be congregating in noisy groups than Romanians who get blamed. Many Roma have no connection to Romania.

yelyah22 · 24/03/2020 17:28

Wonder if you live on my alley, Snitch? (I wasn't BBQing, but some neighbours were)

Irial · 24/03/2020 17:29

fucking fucking arseholes

NotEverythingIsBlackandwhite · 24/03/2020 17:39

Contact the police on 999. There is another thread where the police in the West Midlands were called to break up a BBQ party.

What the heck is wrong with these people? How do we have do many thick and stupid people in the UK?

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 24/03/2020 17:47

@Originalyellowbelly That would be convenient for them wouldn't it?! Of course they know what's going on. They simply don't care. Just like they don't care about leaving 50+ cans of empty beers and rubbish all down the alley ways. Why would they care about the UK or its people?

iMatter · 24/03/2020 17:49

I think it's on Twitter now

Is there anyone I can contact to report a BBQ?
Deadposhtory · 24/03/2020 18:02

I just saw it on the news. I assume it's the same bbq

bellabasset · 24/03/2020 18:08

I suppose one way to deter them is to put tags on them. Police are checking people out in cars in Plymouth.

Originalyellowbelly · 24/03/2020 18:09

Littleboy my comment was a bit tongue in cheek. That's the excuse they would come up with, total scumbags. They should care, because it's their group that they are putting at risk, I just hope they are at the back of the queue for treatment.

VivaLeBeaver · 24/03/2020 18:10

Yes, just seen on 6pm news.

Devlesko · 24/03/2020 18:15

How is this different than all the people working in offices with air con spreading throughout the floor. call centres are still open with people sitting very close to each other for 8 hours.

Haven't those working from home been told to go back if it's too inconvenient to work from home?

I think a bbq is the least of our problems, tbh.

LittleBoyJuly2020 · 24/03/2020 18:19

@Originalyellowbelly I'm so sorry! I was getting a bit irate reading this thread Grin

MaudesMum · 24/03/2020 18:20

To be fair, their cultural background might be relevant. When we had a hosepipe ban a few years ago I had to explain to my Polish neighbours why they couldn't water their lawn. Their English wasn't great, and the news had completely passed them by.
