Is there anyone I can contact to report a BBQ?

Hello, my Mum has just rang to say that there is a large group of people in her alley having a BBQ right now!

I watched Boris update yesterday and as of now 1343 on 24 March there is NO legislation to enforce the breaking up of people having a BBQ.

Boris did say you could go out with people of your own household....some Romanian hmos have up to 14 adults under one roof.

Not sure what your problem is @Lockheart Yes they're foreign and I have no problem with them. We have a large Romanian community here. The point is no one should be out in these numbers. Thought I'd posted this on the Corona thread not here

I'm not saying it's right but the OP did ask who to report it to.
If there is a cop out there who can attend I'm sure they will but beyond a polite request they lack powers...

Blewbell. It depends on area, but I heard the next door neighbors burglar alarm a couple of nights ago. They are out the country. I called the police and within 2 minutes they were here!

There are always going to be twats. Our lockdown is similar to yours but 'enforcement' is based on 'social condemnation' 🙄. But there are always people who feel the rules just don't apply to them and no amount of 'stink eye' and 'cat's bum mouth' will make them feel they do.

So, now they're shutting down our State Parks and beaches. Because people just couldn't do what was asked for the common good.

Personally, I like that Italian mayor's idea of a flamethrower!

Having a BBQ in an alleyway is hardly daily excercise, food shopping, medical reason or essential work Buster72. It doesn't matter if there's a law against it or not.

The police won’t do anything. I don’t think there’s anything you can do. There’s no cure for stupid unfortunately.

Bit chilly for a BBQ in an alley aint it..Have they got shorts on aswell? That alone should be warrant for arrest. APaddling pool and an arm chair or two will be out next

Around here most of the immigrants live in seriously overcrowded conditions with accommodation maximised for landlords so no communal living spaces like front rooms or kitchens, all being converted to bedrooms so unless they stay in bed they can't stay in.

My neighbour, very wealthy, is carry on using builders to finish his garden and nth house project and his gardner is out looking after his grounds....mowing a 3 acre lawn, followed by a mini golf course.

I guess rules don't really apply to the rich.

People won't follow any rules unless strict enforcement... and thats not a silly £30 fine which will be easily avoided as we don't have to carry any sort of ID.

I saw a video of someone....possibly American who lives in a high up flat and spends her time hanging out the window screaming at people in the street “2 meters apart, it’s 2 meters apart” and other such stuff.

There is going to be a big element of natural selection in this.

Nobody can guarantee they do not get this.

But the people who will have the least access to hospital care are those who get it at the stage it is circulating in an uncontrolled way and need access to intensive care beds which are already full.

That will be those numpties having a barbecue right now.

I`m sure I read somewhere later this week police powers???? not sure where though? I wonder if the government has begun lockdown and giving people time to adapt and get heads round it, THEN enforce.
