Well?

OP posts:
Getitdonesharpish · 21/03/2020 22:35

Seeing my children play with their friends and my parents being able to hug them. I have never been an anxious person but my response to this has really thrown me. Lots of love to everyone feeling it.

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/03/2020 22:35

If my Mum (who is 87) dies, I won’t be able to get back for her funeral.

We3kingsoforientareandabump · 21/03/2020 22:35

Hugging my DGM and for my DV to spend time with her again. And just for her to not be a prisoner in her own home all alone ☹️

turkeyontheplate · 21/03/2020 22:36

Seeing my dad. I'm so scared I'm never going to see the infuriating old beggar again Sad

We3kingsoforientareandabump · 21/03/2020 22:36

DC not DV

Jellykat · 21/03/2020 22:38

Seeing my eldest son
Getting back to work and actually earning some money

BruceAndNosh · 21/03/2020 22:38

I'm looking forward to having lunch with my siblings.
We don't get on at all but having lunch will mean they (both with significant lung problems) got through this.

glueandstick · 21/03/2020 22:40

Sitting in my parents house and touching them.

Fuck all the people who refuse to socially distance and be responsible. You’re the reason it’s ljkely to take more than 3 months. Fuck you all.

Hippee · 21/03/2020 22:40

Having a street party with all the neighbours I have got to know through our leaflet drop offering help.

magimedi · 21/03/2020 22:42

Crossing the channel & seeing my beloved DC & my DGC. Nothing else matters.

I can't wait for that hug.

"Need to feel my arms around you
Feel my arms around you
Like a sea around a shore "

pilates · 21/03/2020 22:43

Seeing my parents and giving them both a hug. It will be the first time I’ve not seen my mum on Mother’s Day 😕

AntiHop · 21/03/2020 22:43

Going out for a nice meal. Going on holiday

BadBadBeans · 21/03/2020 22:45

Having my preventative mastectomy that was supposed to happen next month, taking my risk of breast cancer down from 85% to almost nothing.

And seeing my kids play with other kids again.

BritWifeinUSA · 21/03/2020 22:45

Being paid my normal amount. I’m currently on a substantial wage cut just to keep my job.

Being able to see my mum.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 21/03/2020 22:46

I was working as normal at the beginning of the week, and am now teaching online from my kitchen table. Much as work is a giant pain in the arse, I am looking forward to standing in front of my students again.

Also just an ordinary Saturday/holiday type day - long lie, meet a friend for a nice lunch, have a wander round the shops and maybe buying something to wear, some makeup, a nice candle - something completely frivolous instead of worrying about not having enough bread. Then picking up M&S Indian meal deal to have with DP in the evening, with a glass of wine, and the cat purring beside us.

Basically what I took completely for granted a fortnight ago.

charley50 · 21/03/2020 22:47

Hugging my friends and booking a holiday.

CustardySergeant · 21/03/2020 22:48

Hugging our daughter (just turned 29 and living 30 miles away). We can't know whether we'll all survive this. It's a terrifying thought that I can't get out of my head.

CeibaTree · 21/03/2020 22:49

Appreciating our mundane routines :)

magimedi · 21/03/2020 22:49

@BadBadBeans

Hope it all resolves & you get your masectomay asap.

Working from the office (hate working from home)
The football season
Eating out
Church
Training at the gym

But ….. I'm an INFJ and a big introvert: this period of low social contact is no big problem for me Blush

JustInCaseCakeHappens · 21/03/2020 22:53

Not thinking about flipping FOOD every day.
as in go out for meal, or grab anything from the fridge and buy whatever tomorrow.

Going on holiday and flying safely.

BadBadBeans · 21/03/2020 22:54

@magimedi ta! It's crazy to think of how many different operations are being postponed across the globe.

LouHotel · 21/03/2020 22:56

Going to take my kids to a big adventure park and soft play, they can lick the balls in the ball pit for all I care.

Russellbrandshair · 21/03/2020 22:58

The gym, church, hugging people, laughing, watching apocalypse films without feeling a creeping sense of dread, my hands recovering from washing them 500 times a day, going out and about, concerts, travelling- want to go to Italy to support their tourist industry to help them recover, not looking at people as if they’re Typhoid Mary every time someone coughs

Nat6999 · 21/03/2020 23:00

Getting back to normal, whatever that is.
