I'm on the vulnerable list

This is my fifth day isolating, though I don't have it or any symptoms

Looking forward to just being able to go out to be honest

Whatsername177 · 21/03/2020 22:12

Teaching pupils in classes. Seeing my parents properly and not through a window. Doing a normal shop where there are things on the shelves. Not hating everyone who decides they dont need to socially isolate.

Adapting to life with my new baby. I’m due in a few months and it’s been a difficult pregnancy as it was a ‘surprise’. I’ve also had to have every intervention going, including an amnio, and while everything is good I’ve learnt, it’s been challenging.

Giving birth in this situation is scaring me a lot. It’s scaring me that my family may not be able to meet the baby for a long time and I’ll be totally alone.

I’m looking forward to going out for a coffee in a cafe with the baby and my mum. I really hope we get to do normal things again.

  1. Sex. (boyfriend and I can't make the logistics of this work without him moving in so we're digital only for now)
  2. Going for a drink with friends.
  3. Sunday lunch in my local.
  4. A holiday. Anywhere.
  5. Hell I'm even missing my commute and that's saying something.
eosmum · 21/03/2020 22:19

Peace of mind😢

Frigginella · 21/03/2020 22:20

Seeing my family. Watching my children playing with their grandparents.
Not worrying about being able to get the food we want/need.

scarbados · 21/03/2020 22:20

Being able to hug my best friend. He's an ambulance driver and I'm in a high risk group so we're keeping well apart for the duration of this nightmare. We manage to have a short phone chat every few days but I miss his morning coffee visits.

wanderings · 21/03/2020 22:20

Netball. It’s a central part of my life, and on hold right now! It’s bad enough when it pauses over Christmas.

Sammysquiz · 21/03/2020 22:20

My DH is an ICU Consultant and I’m looking forward to seeing that permanent look of stress leave his face.

thegreylady · 21/03/2020 22:22

A cuddle from my grandchildren

ViveLEntenteCordiale · 21/03/2020 22:23

Getting access to medical treatment for my chronic conditions, and knowing that I will be able to get my essential medication.

BigChocFrenzy · 21/03/2020 22:25

Going back to the gym 🏋🏼‍♂️
Eating in restaurants again !

JuniLoolaPalooza · 21/03/2020 22:26

My DD having a bloody good run around outside with a bunch of her friends. Followed by a picnic in the sun.

Not holding my breath and trying to hustle clients out as quickly as possible from the office.

Milbo · 21/03/2020 22:27

Not waking up worrying about my son who has an immune disorder, giving my best friend a squeeze and a trip to the theatre.

middleager · 21/03/2020 22:27

Hugging my parents
School
Work
Beach
Fresh air

The next General Election

enchantedeggs · 21/03/2020 22:27

My only dc seeing her friends again. I feel so bad she's going to be cooped up without any contact with other dc for quite some time. We are FaceTiming her friends though but it really isn't the same.

undercoveraessedai · 21/03/2020 22:28

Hugging my Mum and my Gran. Being able to go out and photograph clients again to help their businesses rebuild as I rebuild mine.
Sleeping properly rather than anxiety destroying my sleep.

enchantedeggs · 21/03/2020 22:28

Dd is 6*

maa1992 · 21/03/2020 22:28

Seeing my mum, going for a meal. Probably going the pub... I've isolated king before lockdown was enforced so I wouldn't mind a little vodka in the local when it's all over

shinyredbus · 21/03/2020 22:29

Having a little birthday party for my 5 year old.

IWantToBreakFreee · 21/03/2020 22:29

Going to work without worry
Children back in school
Going on holiday

percheron67 · 21/03/2020 22:31

Being able to see my daughter and know that both of us are safe.

ForestYeti · 21/03/2020 22:33

Hugging my 80 year old mam and being able to sit in her house again talking to her & my dad. Letting my children out to play with their friends and seeing them enjoy their clubs again. Hearing about what they’ve been doing at school and latest dramas with my teens friends.

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/03/2020 22:34

Seeing DH and DC. They’re in UK, I’m overseas. DH flew back to be with them. Although they are 20 and 18, we thought they should have a parent in the same country. I’m anticipating not seeing them for at least four months. Borders have closed here and flights have stopped. Healthcare is poor. If I get Coronavirus badly, I will almost certainly die.

Office365 · 21/03/2020 22:34

Having a beer! Decided to try to keep as "well" as possible so if I get hit by the big cV I may be able to minimise or fight it off easier. Or whatever. I don't know if it'll do any good but I'm already feeling better in myself 🤷🏽‍♀️ no harm, right?
