Where have all the CF gone?

Normally there are threads about demanding MILs etc but these seem to have gone quiet. Is it these CFs who have sent relatives to clear supermarket shelves or are they channelling wartime spirit and behaving...for now...?

Bloody hell I miss a good troll thread. I'm so bored. Have the day off work today because so many people are self isolating. I need a good laugh.

I've got one though. I popped into a local cafe today (they have amazing food) and they had just had a delivery, they have taken away tables (obviously not getting the customers) and put out their raw ingredients for people to buy. Some cf has reported them. Poor buggers. They haven't been open long, they are lovely people, just trying to make a but of money with the upcoming uncertainty, and its helping people out because the other shops are bare.

Hoarding.

Eating all their bread and then being constipated and unable to use all their toilet roll.

All the cheeky fuckers are queuing at supermarkets at 6am and buying all the bloody baby formula, bog roll and UHT

I think they have been replaced by the bitches!
I cannot believe how many horrible posts I am reading on MN at the moment.
It is a shit situation for everyone and the best we can hope for it that ourselves, our families, friends and the rest of the country stay save and survive the next few months.

I saw the thread title and thought it was an unreleased Paula Cole single.

Everyone afflicted with a terrible family member or friend is heaving a sigh of relief that they can ban them from their homes without repercussions and muttering "Every cloud... " quietly to themselves.

The ones who you usually start threads are chatting with all their equally terrible friends at cafes and playgrounds.

I have a CV related CF story. So it’s my DM’s SIL. She is generally someone who takes zero responsibility for herself and expects everyone else to run around for her and pick up the pieces. She relied on her elderly parents for money and since they passed away she expects her brother’s, my step Dad included, to drop everything at her whim and fix whatever mess she’s got into.

Anyway, CFSIL is in her 50s and her brothers and my DM are much older and fall into the at risk categories. I live abroad and all flights are cancelled so I am unable to help and naturally worried. Luckily my amazing BFF lives down the road from DM and has offered to help with anything she might need. I call my DM to let her know, and she is very grateful, but tells me that CFSIL has actually arranged an online shop and will drop off some bits for her and my Step Dad and also for BIL. Brilliant, I think, finally CFSIL can step up and give something back for a change, although I guessed that my Step Dad would probably offer to pay for her shopping too, so it wouldn’t have been entirely selfless.

Fast forward to yesterday. I check in with DM, and ask if she has everything she needs. She explains that when my step Dad called CFSIL to request some items to add to the online shop that she explained that she had already done the shop. Just for her. But she then said she’d put in another order. All fine. Apart from the fact she calls straight back and says that there are 17000 people in the queue before her so she can’t do it. My step Dad says not to worry, they will pop to the local, small and expensive, shop just before closing to pick some things up. CFSIL says that’s great and then proceeds to give a long list of things she wants them to pick up for her so that she can stay at home. FFS.

Thankfully, my Mum always has a well stocked freezer and cupboards and wasn’t depending on CFSIL.

I've got a CF Great Tit (of the feathered variety, not an insult). It's flicking bird seed out of the bird feeder onto the ground. It's emptied out half a bird feeder today. I worry there won't be enough left for the robins and bluetits. The blackbirds and pigeons probably don't mind though as they are too big to land on the feeder but can scavenge from the grass.

I only have one more bag of seed, and when it's gone I have no idea when I will get another...

I thought this would be about thinly-veiled begging threads on here. I thought the place would be overrun with “mother of new born triplets with no friends or family can’t go out and can’t get a slot for home delivery local shop only takes cash and I have no nappies” type posts. Not seen any yet.

Yes they are all parked up in the parent and child spaces at Tesco, abusing the staff about lack of stock. Then returning to their toilet roll fort to eat tinned tomatoes and pasta.

Anyone posting about a minor annoyance, especially if it's down to Covid, gets jumped on because they should be grateful it's only a minor thing.
