So this man i know says he can 'smell' where a woman is in her monthly cycle. Is he full of shit? Or does anyone know any men who can genuinely sense this?

Well my dog used to always know (pre menopause obviously). Maybe he has a very very good sense of smell?

My DS has an incredible sense of smell (it can cause him problems) and he can definitely smell blood from a distance.

I have certainly smelled other women- possibly in need of changing a pad. Sick I know. It's the same few people !

And I can smell if a man has been in a room for a while, because they leave their man smell behind. I don't have a particularly good sense of smell.

I wouldn't think its possible to know exactly where you are in the monthly cycle but i definately can when someone is "on". it's not a skill I enjoy having

Maybe it depends on what sanpro they are using. Tampons/mooncup I doubt it. External protection, possibly.

He claims to not just know when they're on. But also where they are during their cycle. Surely that must be bollocks??

There is a certain smell when one is on their period I think. Maybe not all women but I notice and have noticed with ex partners.

Didnt mean to include voting bottons. He says he grew up with lots of women. And very tuned in. Methinks mid cycle smell thing must be bollocks though?

My ex used to say he could tell from smell. Not an unpleasant smell, just different on my skin. There might be something biological in it.

When I'm on my husband smells different to me, like I'm more aware of his 'boy smell' and I think I smell different too. Not awful, just my clothes don't smell how they usually do!

I have smelled blood on a woman before, that metallic smell. I think it’s someone using a pad and as a pp said, it needs changing.

So yes. I’d say it’s possible if you use pads. I do however have a very sensitive sense of smell.
