I'll start:
-large bodies of water (hate swimming)
-those moving walkways at airports (?!)
-large taps/plug holes

Frogs. Can’t bear them. Can’t even walk past one. I refuse to walk on grass at night in garden in case there is a little fucker hiding in the grass

Hair - specifically hair in plug holes or in sink where it’s not mine. Long black hairs in basins in public loos actually make me want to vomit

InMyOwnParticularIdiom · 06/03/2020 08:57

Snails - it's the greyness, sliminess and wriggling antennae. I get a really strong disgust response and will squeak when I see one. (Slugs are also foul but don't provoke such strong reaction.)

Also, metal jewellery - the thought of it touching me makes me queasy. When DM put some necklaces on toddler DD I really wasn't happy!

Mrsboombastic99 · 06/03/2020 09:56

Being touched on the wrist or the inside of my elbow. I've had to have loads of blood tests for infertility investigations and it gives me panic attacks when I have to go :(

Firelink · 06/03/2020 09:58

Still water in lakes and reservoirs
Corners in rooms especially ceilings

Lozz22 · 06/03/2020 10:05

Trypophobia (a fear of holes that morph into patterns 🤢

HowlsMovingBungalow · 06/03/2020 10:09

Wet fingernails, the feeling when they bend Envy
Snakes, their eyes and the way they move and attack.

LOMY · 06/03/2020 10:24

Shirts and ties

AnxietyQueen101 · 06/03/2020 12:12

Scraping fingernails on cardboard!!

edenhills · 06/03/2020 12:45

Barbed wire
Not being able to move my feet
Roads

cricketmum84 · 06/03/2020 12:54

Oh and also empty swimming pools. If I go for a swim and I'm the only one there I freak out that something is in the water and is going to grab me by the legs.

InTheShadowOfTheMushroomCloud · 06/03/2020 13:07

I also hate my neck being touched except for my DH... never let my two previous DHs go near.

But NO ONE ever touches my nipples...I only ever let my babies there. If DH touches them I heave!!!!

LePimpernelScarlette · 06/03/2020 13:09

I think my fear is related to Alice in Wonderland syndrome, but unusually large hands (not real hands, fake), there was an advert where someone had MASSIVE hands- makes me feel quite shuddery.

Frogs toads. Even on TV, they make me visibly shudder, shake and grunt, involuntarily.

johnwayneisbigleggy · 06/03/2020 14:16

@Doctorpeppa - at last someone who shares my phobia! They are truly disgusting. We used to get them in our old house 😱

Disfordarkchocolate · 06/03/2020 14:18

Yoghurt. Scared beyond all reason.

Stampy84 · 06/03/2020 14:36

Other people eating bananas- I like them myself but when someone else is eating them it makes me feel sick, and the banana peel after turns my stomach

Massive waves, the ones that almost go over a boat, how anyone can surf massive waves is beyond me.

Killer whales, they terrify me.

LittleSweet · 06/03/2020 16:03

Mrsboombastic99, ds2 has the same phobia. I have a tattoo on the inside of my wrist and it makes him squirmy, and it's not even his wrist!

Buttons4me · 06/03/2020 16:11

Light bulbs and exploding pop bottles.

TeetotalKoala · 06/03/2020 16:22

Oh. Pylons too. I don't know what it is. DH sent me a Rightmove link to a lovely house recently. I wouldn't even go to view it because it had a pylon at the bottom of the garden. He didn't even notice.

Pricklypear12 · 06/03/2020 23:38

Seems to be a lot of issues with holes/large objects/things underwater/various types of steps

Earwigs.
Stemming from my beloved cousin telling me they got in your ward and ate your brains. I was about 5. He then pinned me down and shoved one on my face. Have had panic attacks ever since.

He was 6 and I have long forgiven him but he married my best friend and is henpecked - I introduced them

Pieceofpurplesky · 06/03/2020 23:46

Ear not ward

recklessruby · 07/03/2020 00:16

Clowns.
Those slinky things that go down the stairs. Hate the slidy slippy descent of them.
Sleeping with the bedroom door completely shut makes me feel trapped and panicky.
Lifts.
Down escalators (the Asda in Aberdeen has a horrible one thats just a slope like a massive conveyer belt and it makes me dizzy).
Ebola.
Wool.

Pricklypear12 · 07/03/2020 00:19

@pieceofpurplesky I also hate earwigs after I cut open a nectarine and there were 2 in there. One was alive and came crawling out very fast. The other dead and just sitting in there. Ugh shivers
