To ask what are your odd phobias and fears?

I'll start:
-large bodies of water (hate swimming)
-those moving walkways at airports (?!)
-large taps/plug holes

Unidentified hairs and the thought of breathing in air that that has been inside a strangers lungs

Guinea pigs
Sorry to guinea pig lovers but they give me the creeps

Another with trypophobia here. Especially hole clusters on natural things like flowers. I can pinpoint the trigger too. That awful photoshopped picture that went round FB about 5/6 years ago. It was lotus seeds superimposed on a woman's breast. I've never experienced a reaction like it before. Since then, certain clusters of holes completely freak me out (though I have no issue with things like dry ski slopes and crumpets).

I don't like teeth. Specifically weird teeth like when you see images of people that have more than one set growing at a time. I don't mind seeing teeth on a day to day basis when I'm talking to people.

Bean juice.

Pans that have had baked beans in them and then have water soaking in them.
And cooked eggs

And the wickerman. It’s just frightening and makes me feel sick

Yey another one of us!

I find people say “OMG why are you scared of buttons??” And I say, I’m not SCARED of them (like you would be of a spider) they just repulse me. They make me feel sick. I don’t want to look at them or touch them.

I have kids and it’s been hard over the years trying to avoid them wearing them! Now they are at school it’s unavoidable and as a result they have been taught to iron their own shirts

Bugs that have backs that open to reveal wings. Is it not enough that they can crawl on you but to then deliver the double whammy that they can also fly and get into your ear. 😂😂

I had a teacher at school who was terrified of buttons, obviously kids used to throw them at her (not me)

Rumour was that when she was a child she got caught on fire and couldn’t get her cardigan off because of the buttons but who knows if that’s true!

Daddy long legs/crane flies ugh when their legs float around when flying eek

I hate stairs and wet floors lol I'm very clumsy so they scare me lol x

Binoculars, microscopes, anything you have to look through like that. It's the space between the two lenses that scares me for some reason. I am also terrified of those virtual reality goggles.

Picket fences - not so much a phobia but the feeling they are a bad omen. I could never live in a house with a picket fence.

Oh and Morris dancers - I won't leave the house on May day

Bananas and saltanas (ha). The thought of fruit cake or mince pies makes me gag, and I’m not generally fussy.

Huge phobia of the paranormal, which I don't believe in. I make no sense.

Oh! And Baby dolls and pubs with flat roofs, both make me feel really really unpleasant.

Oh my goodness! Finally, the first time I’ve heard of someone like me with a genuine fear of fish. Ugh. Even acknowledging it is making me shudder!!!

I know I’ve had this phobia since I was quite young, what about you? I just can’t look at fish, especially the horribly big oversized ones, oh god they make me shiver and retch. I feel like a masochist even discussing them!!! yuck.

And did something trigger this fear in you?
