To think ketchup lives in the cupboard??

Not the bloody fridge! Just had to hunt it down in the kitchen for my turkey dinosaurs and it’s in the fridge!

YABU: should be in the fridge
YANBU: someone in your house needs talking to

YANBU, cupboard here. Although, tbf, it doesn't last long in this household with my teens and their friends.

Even when it's not used up quickly, it's still kept in cupboard and I've never had it go off.

I'm also of the opinion that bbe/bbd are more of a guidance and I use my common sense and sense of smell, taste and sight to decide if something is still edible. Never been ill from eating something so it seems to work.

Fridge once opened like most things.

It's very obvious to me Ketchup, brown sauce, hot dog mustard - cupboard.

Mayo, burger sauce, salsa, stuff like apple sauce / horseradish / grain mustard / mint sauce - fridge.

Fridge here. In the door, so it regularly brains me when I open fridge door.
