I hate hate hate tights. They're always slipping down, or getting laddered and it would just make so much sense to have stockings because just one can be thrown away and they're properly held up.

Stockings being ‘kinky’ isn’t a new thing

Wear stockings if you want, no need to make a song and dance about it

I’ve worn stockings since my teens. Bras can be kinky too, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t wear one.

Unless your skirt is arse-short no one is going to know what you're wearing. If you have a dp being creepy about it, tell him to jog on. No one else needs to know!

Women have been wearing stockings for decades.
Maybe they just don’t discuss it.
I’m surprised to hear that they’re considered kinky, given that my mum, grandmother and great grandmother wore them, and I’m middle aged.
I can’t be bothered with tights myself. I wear leggings under dresses or skirts as do many folk. ( lovely modal ones from Tu.)
If the day is warm, I go bare legged. I never have to faff with suspenders or constricting stocking tops.

I am always happy to discuss women's undercrackers with brand new posters late night at the weekend.

Stockings aren't kinky They are sexy, though.

It isn't the stockings that are viewed as kinky, it is the suspenders part. Or rather that gap between top of stocking and knickers.

Holdups look great but if they are not securely in the right place they can slip down. I once wore them during the day with a knee length dress. I loved the pattern on them and they weren't available in more comfortable and practical tights so took a chance.

Out in public and shopping, I felt them gradually slip down my thighs. I ended up searching for a ladies loo while gripping the tops of the stockings over my dress and trying to look casual. Not good and never again.

In my 40s. I have been a stocking wearer for years. Mainly in autumn and spring. The dreaded opaque tights come out for those “real winter” months though. Yes, stockings have wrongly gained a sleaze reputation.

But l don’t wear short skirts and l’m quite capable of going to work and walking down the street with my hemlines in control.

If you have two pairs of tights, each with one laddered leg, just cut the laddered legs off. You've then got two pairs of one-legged tights so wear them both together.

It IS sad that they've been sexualised. I wore some a couple of times and received a few comments when the skirt slipped up slightly which would be fine in tights

Stockings are my lifesavers as tights no longer fit over my bump! Caveat is they need rescuing every now and then

Worn with a good quality belt such as Fantasie (as opposed to one designed for the bedroom) you don’t know you have them on. And they stop put.
