AIBU to be sad that stockings are seen as 'kinky' now? They'd be such a great tights alternative...

I hate hate hate tights. They're always slipping down, or getting laddered and it would just make so much sense to have stockings because just one can be thrown away and they're properly held up.

@Mysterian - not exactly... the ankle ones are worse though!

I’m prone to thrush, so avoid tights as much as possible! Plain stockings are available, they don’t all have to be fishnet or lace. And nobody knows they’re stockings unless you’re prone to lifting the hem of your dress and showing everyone!

I love hold ups instead of tights but I worry if I wear them to the office then I will feel sexy and that’s not good if you’re trying to get your work done

We were always told that they would cause varicose veins. Needless to say I have never worn them... and have varicose veins (as does my BIL).
