Aibu to be excited about my bath?

Bathroom being redone after a horrid leak in January. We have a lovely plumber and carpenter on the case.

The bathroom is currently just a bare brick room with a loo in the corner!! We have no other bathrooms in the house so we're showering at other people's place and washing hands and faces (and sometimes hair) in the kitchen...

THE BATH ARRIVED TODAY!

It's big and lovely and in the garage but I'm vvv excited.

Especially when one of my three mini humans comes in to say hi, then promptly go to do a poo followed by knocking my gin and tonic over then attempting to wash my hair

Tonight, my bath blew away.

...thankfully, it was the old one on the drive and not the new one, but it was an odd moment when a neighbour knocked on my door and asked if it was our bath down near the pub

Update: Turns out the botch wall job from the previoys owners is more disconcerting than first thought. The doorframe is holding the wall up. Look at the state of this!

We have an open plan loo for a day or two, though. Thankfully the kiddies think this is the funniest thing ever.

A good bath is the most relaxing thing ever. Nothing beats a good soak and a good night’s of sleep afterwards to beat stress!

TechnicalSergeantGarp tiny tiny steps! The carpenter is in the middle of doing someone's roof (he was with them first), so every time it rains he heads over to us to do a bit more.

If you squint you can see what the room will look like. I'll pray for more rain.

How big is your new bath op? It looks small, like you can't lay flat in it.

A bath - how wonderful! I have the available bath but also several abdominal wounds which refuse to heal. 3 years now and still dressings prevent even a shower. Off topic but has anyone experience of how to get rid of these please? They rest on an inoperable hernia. Enjoy your bath when you get there Ok. and please have one for me.

OlaEliza It's a sitting bath rather than lying down. It's just over a metre.

There was a delay on Friday, so no movement since the last update, but the electrician is booked in tomorrow and the plasterer for Tuesday, and then...
