That Alexa one where the mother lets her teenage daughter repeatedly thump a football against the wall, lit by the thousand suns of her security lamps at 04.40 in the dead of night.

The neighbours must be getting up a petition.

I don't think I am being unreasonable. Which adverts grind your gears?

Ooooh and the new Starbucks advert .... The “you remember my Jemma?” one.

Butteredtoast55 · 24/02/2020 23:14

I've noticed that the Oral B advert no longer has her saying 'I didn't know Oral B made a toothpaste!' They must have listened to the people screeching 'How can you not know that you ridiculous tit-end?!'

EstuaryBird · 24/02/2020 23:15

As soon as I saw the title of the thread I thought of the night time football and wall of speakers woman. So being an anti social, self centred arsehole is now a good thing??? Bollocks.

Yabadee · 24/02/2020 23:18

There’s an advert on STV just now and it’s someone rubbing cream into someone else’s big hairy feet.

I think it’s stv anyway. Don’t even know what it’s advertising I’ve never kept it on long enough because it gives me the fear

SidneyPrescott · 24/02/2020 23:24

All. Hail. Voxi.

No.

Tillygetsit · 24/02/2020 23:27

That stupid woman cooking at a B &Q kitchen display for kids who aren't hers.

Rosspoldarkssaddle · 24/02/2020 23:28

Any squeaky voiced twattish size 8 woman advertising sofas with a never ending loop of sales that end soon.
That selfish bint who, although celebrating her independence, forgets she lives in a terraced house when she blasts out her music in the middle of the night.
That fecking zoopla advert with the headboard banging, picture dropping, shagging couple.
I don't care how much you try and hypnotise me, I am never eating marmite.
The stupid flash advert with the idiots with a white kitchen, white floors, white units, white walls and a fecking great dog walking mud in.
Any advert that shows a white carpet/sofa with small children colouring at a coffee table.
Drug induced perfume and aftershave adverts. I don't care why you choose to drive out into the middle of a desert and bury a necklace, Johnny, it is so contrived it is vomit inducing.
Yes, Dad, June wants you.
The advertising agencies absolutely love this all because they call it recall. That was why Radion adverts/Cillit Bang ads were so successful.

Mollypolly2610 · 24/02/2020 23:28

Can’t watch the hairy monkey thing with the huge arms jumping on a mattress I have to turn my head away it gives me the creeps.

Witchofzog · 24/02/2020 23:29

Voxi. Lots of tiny penises.

The one with the scary woman who was in the advert about scams (Did you see what I did there? Confused) who has tiny Philip Schofield on her shoulder telling her not to buy the car.

I like the Rightmove one with the long suffering Graham though Smile

Hippopotas · 24/02/2020 23:29

The royal London over 50’s one where at the end the granddaughter is clearly playing on an iPad and the grandad without saying a word to her takes it off her to look at the over 50’s plan.

AlexaAmbidextra · 24/02/2020 23:32

Did somebody say JUST EEEEAT! I have to mute the fucking thing. I can’t stand it. Oh, and the Postcode Lottery - Someone’s Knockin On Your Dorrhoor. Fuck off!

BelieveInPeople · 24/02/2020 23:34

There is an advert that keeps popping up on my Facebook for period pants - it says something about it being for sleepovers and the video is off two young lasses, who look maybe 14-16 years old, prancing around together in their knickers, in a kitchen, cutting up fruit. Because that’s what girls do on sleepovers Confused. The whole thing makes me feel queasy to think about who might be watching and enjoying that advert.

At the other extreme, the one for some sort of shampoo where the woman whispers that it’s for women over 40, like that’s some sort of hideous affliction we have to be ashamed of now. Gives me the rage.

AlexaAmbidextra · 24/02/2020 23:34

Its June Dad!

I think June wants to shag him. The misdelivered post is just a ruse to get into his house. Grin

wowfudge · 24/02/2020 23:38

The Skoda advert with Paloma Faith wailing in it. That is not the way to get me to want to buy anything!

Butteredtoast55 · 24/02/2020 23:39

Anything that begins 'Philips Schofield here.' Especially the stupid yoga goat one.

alltoomuchrightnow · 24/02/2020 23:40

Of course. June is going to feed him parsnips and shag him to death so she can attend his funeral. He's her guineapig for testing Sun Life

monkeytennis97 · 24/02/2020 23:40

The teaching ones.. every lesson shapes a life etc and that science teacher making it look like a laugh a minute..

AngeloMysterioso · 24/02/2020 23:42

“Some people think being a woman means being only soft and delicate”

Do, they, Always? Do they?? Who are these people? Do they know anything at all about women??

pigsDOfly · 24/02/2020 23:42

The Maltesers ad in which the woman talks about her boyfriends big stupid dog that's swallowed her hearing aid after jumping up at her.

I assume the battery was still in the hearing aid, so it's unlikely the dog would be pooing it out in the morning as suggested by the boyfriend, as the dog might very possibly be dead by the morning.

Irritates me every time I see it.

alltoomuchrightnow · 24/02/2020 23:43

I was saying to DP before I read this, sbout the Nutella pancakes ad. That if you knew someone who talked like that you'd have to kill her.
She has definitely got a big smile on her face when she says that pancakes love Nutella. In fact she's practically laughing. Because Nutella on pancakes is so hilarious as well as ruining a perfectly good pancake

alltoomuchrightnow · 24/02/2020 23:44

(ie she's doing that talking when smiling thing that they sometimes tell you to do when you work in call centres....so you automatically sound friendlier...). fake

Hairwizard · 24/02/2020 23:46

Perfume/aftershave ads. Piss off. Wtf does any of it have to do with smelling nice?
The viagra ad with the hippy looking dude. Anytime i hear that song that ad pops in my head.
There was an ad a while ago for ribena with theeee most annoying jingle. Fucking awful noise. Mute. Every time.
Tena ads. Esp the ones theyve tried to make sexy.
The oral b ad. Is she fucking stupid?
Ps ads for we buy any car.
The sunlife ads. Makes me cringe.
The just eat ad
The mcds ad with the one guy apparently aging. Makes me want to punch his face in with that stupid grin.
Washing powder/pods ads. Esp the vanish ones.

QuiteTiredOut · 24/02/2020 23:47

I don’t know if it’s Tena but the ad where the woman is taking about how ‘pretty’ she feels in her wee catching pants. Hmm

Voxi with the thumbs that look like penises in a field.

The Oral B advert. Also why does she have a fridge full of peppers?

TheSandman · 24/02/2020 23:48

I don't think I am being unreasonable. Which adverts grind your gears?

All of them. One of the reasons I've stopped watching television. That and 90% of TV is shite.

dennisdonut · 24/02/2020 23:49

The one with the creepy stalker cat bloke
