To ask for a handhold?

Hello all,

GoJetterBoy after 2 years of fighting has finally lost the energy to fight, I’m currently sat with him in hospital, having come in a few days earlier for pain management.

I really need a handhold right now...

There aren't sufficient words to cover it but I can sense the genuine sorrow that I feel for you echoed in all the posts I've read.

He sounds like a very loved and very lovely boy, much deserving of such a lovely sounding mum.

I hope you get strength from those around you and from the love that is directed your way from all us here.

Today would have been my DS 17th birthday, we lost him at 8 weeks and like you held and loved him until the last breath.

I just wanted to say your little boy will pull you through. He'll get you through the anger that this world could be so cruel, the despair and loss and oh God the ache in your heart of not having him to hold.
Because one thing that is so very true is that love is so much stronger than death. It will carry you.

He will beat with your heart. He will send you memories. At first the memories will hurt like hell but I promise they will turn into the most beautiful and treasured things.

Be kind to yourself. Its ok to cry, scream, feel numb, angry. Take the kindness offered when you can.

My heart goes out to you. My prayers will be with you and your family xxx

Oh OP I've just read your post and sending my love and strength. I lost my dad 2 weeks ago to the shitty disease that is cancer, but that won't compare to the pain you're in. Go gently, little one x
